We don't have much in the line of iguanas down here, Claude. Fiver is too busy collecting yankees getting out of the cold to chase anything else. Wow, company, company, company. But, that is the price you pay when you live in Florida. Figured maybe we would sell the house and move into the fiver - - that might slow down the traffic. But, we enjoy seeing our friends.

OK, running to meet more people to have lunch, then over here for coffee and pictures and gossip. Ya'll take care,

HostBob

Mornin' all,

NW Houston, cool 61*F 16*C cloudy with a chance of rain showers. Not bad.
Everyone is doing their thing here. Kiddletts learning, wife, daughter, working.

Old dog, is taking out the garbage your PT? I is mine.
Thanks all for getting the coffee, tea, foo-foo going.
Chaikwa sleeps in, sure getting soft in your old age.
Fronty wow you been home for a good long time, bet that feels good. Too bad you don't get to pick your vacation resort with the selection of fun things to do.

5erBob, enjoy your company. Good friends are a blessing. Have fun with the visitors.

Time to check the lading zone, and then got a few odd things in the job jar.

Have a good un, and be safe out there

Mornin

Temps fell overnight to -23*C. Even the brass monkey is in warming up. Slight breeze to add to the ambiance of the season. BRRRRRRR shiver shiver.

Host Bob I have a couple of aunts and uncles in BC that catch all the vacation traffic trying to find fun in the sun. They have an open door policy, if you can find a bed or a piece of floor to crash on your good to go. Fridge is full and if it's not check the freezer. Good people and would give the shirt off their backs.

Davey glad to see that your weather is better now. Except for the rain sounds like a nice day. I could handle those temps with no problem.

Wife going to see doc today. Has a cold in the sinus that wont go away. Don't think drugs are going to help, just time and a little TLC.

Have fun and drive safe.

Only getting to piddle this week Claude. We had a real rain storm this afternoon so it'll most likely be next week before I can even think of getting back at it.

I go to one of the two places.
If I dont go to Brunei, I will have to go to Kazakhstan.
Kazakhstan will be about a week trip.
Brunei will be longer as I will have to go thru offshore survival again...

Neither one sounds fun, Fronty man...choose door number three...

in the middle of a one week babysit for the handicapped sis in law. gosh she's a riot but mischievous. LUCKILY- I don't get mad at those folks and she knows it. up at 6am bed about 9PM and I need a nap so bad I could do it standing up. she has more 'go' than any diesel fuel.....wow. I haven't been this active since I was 20 and had a farm and a full time prison job.

gonna pass on the BBQ iguana. just can't wait to leave the 19th!!
we had 75mph winds but lost nothing. they are putting up a lot of wind turbines in all this wind and down pour stuff. will scan pics and post here later.

Night shift checking in...on semi-light duty status due to teh stitches in my thigh( see thread about giving meds to teh cat).....

Not much moving, got few folks who seem to have forgotten how to secure a door...fun waking a full bird colonel up at 0-dark-thirty because his LTjg forgot to lock the office....

Coffee is on, got some Kohna Dark brewing, if you aint used to it, better be careful....

Donuts are getting stale and running out of energy, they barely barked at me when I came in the room... better finish them off in the morning..

Hat, hope your surgery goes well.... saw soemthign this evening that would probably have turned you into blown-stack-hat.....
Kid( looked like he was all of 16) probably just home from boot camp, in his full dress blues, hanging out in front of the mall with his hat tipped back on his head, hands in his pockets, blouse unbuttoned and smoking a cigarette and leaning back against the wall while talking to a couple of other guys his age ....I couldnt help but stare as I walked by, and was sooo close to saying something to him....soemone needed to climb down his spine and back up the other side of it...
Plan on having a talk with the Gunney attached to the unit here and seeing if the kid is attached here...I couldnt help but think of you when I saw it, and wondering what you might have to say...

I don't think he'd say much, might yell allot, but wouldn't say much.(wouldn't need to) The only thing the poor kid would remember would be two words, up-down, up-down, up-down, up-down, up-down, up-down,up-down, up-down, up-down,up-down, up-down, up-down,up-down, up-down, up-down,up-down, up-down, up-down,up-down, up-down, up-down,up-down, up-down, up-down,up-down, up-down, up-down.

T-Round, i guess the reason it bothered me so much is that I have two older brothers who both served in 'Nam with the Marines, and a brother in-law who is a three conflict Marine vet.. and I see the pride they still have in their service, and the pride that the Marines as a whole take in their apearance adn proffesionalism. It was like the kid was disrespecting them and all the others .......
I honestly have to say this is the first time in y life I have seen that uniform being treated that way.......kinda ticked me off...
Found out last night it was a JRROTC kid, and I now have a name and phone number for the GSgt who runs that program......

Ok( deep breath).....

RISE AND SHINE SLUGGARDS!!!
ITS THE LAST DAY OF THE WORK_WEEK
SO LETS GET ROLLIN' AND GET IT OVER WITH!!
WE'RE BURNING DAYLIGHT

my work here is done.......................

I don't blame you for being ticked and it's probably better to let his boss handle it. I still think it would have been fun to see Mark snap on him.
