Internet access was down last night, had DTR withdrawls....made for a long night...

Not much going on aroudn here, the severe storms missed us and went south, hope all the MO members remembered how to duck and cover, guess they had twisters on the ground around Springfield and a few other places..
rare for this time of year..

well, better go do something.....

Mornin all

Whats with all the twisters and storms all over the place? People getting flooded out and hammered with snow/iced storms. Even had a earthquake in BC. I guess that really shouldn't be a surprise, there's a fault line there. Whole weather pattern is going down the tubes. Head for the bunker.... just remembered, don't have a bunker...Glad it's just cold here. Hope everyone stays safe.

Fronty I don't know if the temp difference would be the deciding factor in bouncing around the globe. Hows the cold bugs? No fun traveling when your sick.

At the tender age of 26yrs looks like his eyes are failing him Trad. Soon it will be bifocals and a walker. Sure don't make them like they used to.....

Have to start to thinking about warm fuzzy slippers not boots.

Claude I like your setup for the gen, should look into that for myself. Our power doesn't go out that often and when it does it's only for a few hours usually. Only once it was off for about 10-12hrs. Thats in the 19yrs we've been out in the country. Was a pain in the butt though.

Have to get at it, need to fix a fence that a moose didn't quite have enough oooommph to jump. Broke the top wire. Lots of hair caught in the barbs but didn't see any blood on the snow.

Drive safe and have fun. Later...

Heidi, it's not really sweet. Tastes close to beef, just a little different texture. Almost like buffalo texture, but I didn't like the buffalo I tried. I suspect moose will be a mystery for a while yet. The only bear I've had was in a barbq recipe, could'nt really differentiate the type of meat.
Bison is a very lean meat, some people add fat to theirs to moisten it up. Here is a link to a close friends ranch, http://www.alaskawildgame.makeswebsites.com/
We also have Yak and Elk farms in the area.
Plus even you guys down there can get into a Bison hunt if you win a Draw. http://www.wildlife.alaska.gov/licen...pring_supp.pdf

Greetings from the wasteland of North Dakota (don'cha know).

I guess they are experiencing quite a warm spell up here .... car thermometer said 5* this morning . One of the guys at the plant said that it's usually -20 this time of year.
I definately like the 75 mph speed limit up here. The rental Grand Prix blasted past that speed "suggestion" real quick .

Buffalo & Yak and some of the other non-standard meats are too darned expensive to eat enough to get used to the taste. I stopped at one resturaunt that served $9.00 Yak burgers. Nah ... I'll stick with a $3.00 moo burger thanks.

See y'all in the am. Sweet rolls & bisquits & gravy will be waiting on us at 0600 sharp .... right after PT. GET HOT !!

PISTOL
