Ya'll are so cheerful about the weather- you must not live in Southern TX! The heat index today is over 110! I am dying out here at the ranch! Not to mention, my tractor overheated (again!) so I had to wak back to the barn. Didn't know tractors could overheat 'till I did it the first time.

My tractor did the same today, just had to work it a bit slower. The only thing that kept ME from overheating was the additional antifreeze I added. Getting good mileage right now, right around 4 acres per six pack.

Morning day crew.... got the day shift the rest of the week.
Suppose to rain today, looks like it might, but it probably won't only because the weather man promised it would.

Fumes wouldn't quite get me to the pump this morning. Wound up about 50ft shy, up hill. If it was level, I could've coasted, but the engine probably wouldn't have stopped. Went inside and grabbed a bottle of power service to get it to the pump. Took a few cranks to get it going after having tryied to restart previously. Fired up finally without any misses so I guess my lift pump is in good shape. I've kinda been wondering as it looks a little wet. Anyway, I was surpirized, the Power Service was the cheapest I've seen anywhere. $3.79. Usually those are the situations where you get hosed. The diesel was a little higher than where I usually go though, $1.49. Filled 'er up, got my coffee and donuts, and still made it to work on time. Guess I aughta get that fuel oil tank rigged for diesel, eh? Have a good one.

Morning all, been hanging around the cooler for a few weeks now, guess it's time to jump in and pour a cup. Long week, looks like it's gonna get longer. Wife had her thyroid removed on Monday, she doin good but still aint got it in her to chase our 2 year old around all day. I'm actually glad my mother in law is here

Sun finally decided to put in an appearance in sunny So.Cal, high pressure systems driving the temps up as well. Should be in the upper 90's this weekend, looks like I'll be chasing fire through the weeds again. 8) 8)
