Good Morning Ladies and DTR'rs.....

Spent the night installing new cameras to watch the camera that is watching the security camera...
We think its been switching itself to the LifeTime network when its not being watched.. thats what we get for installing it in the air gaurd area.

Had no luck with the bank yesterday, but afterwards I met with the title company and they said it didnt matter and they are willing to go ahead and close.
Not sure where that leaves me

Well caffine should help, so off to the coffee pot I go....
Y'all havea good one.

Sounds like DCX is running your AC shop: "There will be a fix for the lift pump soon" is right along the lines of "Ed, you will have AC tomorrow" (repeat the last quote everyday for at least a week).

Well finally got the puter back... for the most part. I guess it was down since 6 last night and apperently somebody didn't think we qualified for the 24 hour emergency service. Made the morning easy though. Had to take yesterday off and add amillion miles to the car during record gas prices for a funeral. I think I'm paid well ahead in the family tax now though. Did get my final two windows built and started getting the half-logs hung on the walls of the addition. Hopefully, after this weekend I'll be able to start tearing out the kitchen wall. Hope Doug quits draggin hiney and get's back here with my sub before I pass out.

Momma Rock (Mrs. Shortround) just finished sticking a WONDERFUL chicken pot pie in my face. It was nasty. Not sure if I'll be able to wash it down with this beer. Gotta do something to keep the taste in my mouth
The range was at 105 and humid.
292 shooters on the ground as of this afternoon.
Gets worse tomorrow.
Suckier Sat and Sun, especially in a guillie suit.
Doc has me at a 15 bpd limit till Sunday.
Concerned, not much tho, if I'll show my hiney and throw some ossifer off the range (planning on it, running rehearsal tomorrow, got one targeted).
Wish the DTR Shooting Club was gonna show. Need the support.

I'm really beginning to like being stationed on an Army base ... these guys take more days off than the Air Force !!! I wasn't even expecting today to be a "Training Holiday" ... but I sure ain't arguing.

Went to the local dealership looking for an oil pump for this european spec Ford of mine ... apparently they aren't any smarter over here . "Are you sure it is the pump that is worn out ?" Hmmm, let's see .... lifters knock like a diesel for the first couple minutes of the morning until the low oil pressure light goes out.... you're right, I probably should check the blinker fluid level .
Pick up tube could be sucking air too, I suppose ... but man that is a chore to get to.

Oh ... and this isn't one of those engines that you can simply pop off the oil pan and check things out ... nooooooo. Lots of crap to remove, separate and jack up just to get to it.

I guess I will just turn up the radio and live with the morning knock

Here's hoping you all have a safe and enjoyable weekend !!!

Morning All

Looks like we may finally get some rain here, 70% chance. Hopefully it will cool things off abit.

Chief, I thought knocking was a normal engine condition for Fords? at least it has been for everyone I ever owned.BTW what is your rating?I've always thought your sig sounds like a Bosun

FRIDAY!!
Another Balmy day in the DC swamps.
Presently 89.1 degrees at the desk, ~78* outside.
Of course replacement AC parts still arent here.

Only 8 more hours of this DWI 'til I can go home and sit in the AC again.
Now only 7 hours 59 minutes and 30 seconds.........

Y'all enjoy yer weekend Eve.

If anyone is planning on heading out on I-95 through DC over the weekend, avoid the Wilson Bridge like the plague.
They're shutting 4 lanes of traffic down to one starting @ 2000hrs tonight until approx 0500 Monday.

Y'all b safe

.... I have never owned a Ford that didn't have one problem or another ... this one drives good for a high mileage beater once the squirrels quit flopping around in the running cage and making all that noise. Only gotta last me 20 more months and then it's back to the States and my Cummins (I can't wait !!!).

No Bos'n here, my parents were married ... Damage Control (ex- Machinery Repairman).

Good morning alll...

Idaho is still burning. The sky is turning a funky color of orange. The smell of smoke is everywhere now.

This is about the same as California Smog! Ughhhh!

I still staying busy around the homestead. Changing gear lube and power steering fluid. I hope the warmer weather hold out longer. The price of diesel is going through the roof here... I would rather stay on the cheap seat for the winter.... But that should be a wild ride... NOT!
