Been an interesting week so far....
The last mare we had expecting this year decided to drop her foal Monday evening around 2000. A real pretty little red roan filly.
That apearantly went well, however she decided she didnt want to get rid of the placenta afterwards..... sat up watching her for almost 4 hours, then had to load her and the newborn up and drive an hour to K-State Vet Hospital. If'n you ever want a lesson in how to pull a trailer CAREFULLY , without any sort of even near sudden stops turns or starts, try hauling one with a newborn foal in it.....They got the placenta out, and discovered that her udder had swollen so much that she actually ruptured and was leakng milk from the tear....wound up leaving them there for the day so they could monitor her and the baby and brought them home last night. The foal is fine, however her hocks and knees are swollen from the trailer ride( vibration isnt good for them at that age)
SOOOOO..... I am getting to go out twice a day and rub down the foals legs, and give momma antibiotics and clean her udder.... FUN FUN FUN......
I keep telling myself I enjoy this......

Hope yall have a good one, and I'd post a pic of the new baby if I knew how..

NO TRASH CANS for the week!!!! got a baby trying to sleep....

Mornin all, I beat everyone this mornin. Crap, it's only 03:00 hours. What's up with that?
Up to my neck in turbine and reactor vessel parts. 72 hours a week. Man this is getting old.
Getting ready to pull the reactor head today, just a little 124 ton lift, nothing special.
Got a couple 220 ton transformers rolling past the office window.
Gotta go close the lids for a few more hours then do it all over again.
Ya'll keep the place under control and you too Huey.
Oh and thanks for the most excellent graphic details on the new one too.

Happy Friday!! (for me anyway)
Cooler temps still in the area, with mucho wet stuff in tonight's and tomorrow's forecast.

Stuff-To-Do list almost non-existant.
I'm sure someone is just waiting for 15 minutes before time to leave to "find" that "HOT" job on their desk.

Y'all B safe.
Ed

Joel, has the GunRack put the sign up for your reserved parking space yet?

Ed,
Did you get the memo, Lary and Jack need the TPS reports before you go home today
(Ok, it only makes sense if saw the movie "Office Space")
Like the smilies, that one looks like he is downin' a bottle of Mississippi Mud (mmmm, beer).
Wish it were my Friday. That is tomorrow, when the calender says "Friday".
Saturday is busy, putting the exhaust on and then goin' hoggin. Sunday, I am going ATV riding with member TexasCTD, can't wait, been a while since I've had a fun ride.

Joel, get some sleep. Those light lockers look like they need some maintenance.

Have a goodun,
~Rob

Yes I'm going to Colorado Springs in May.
Yes I'm taking my truck.
No I'm not.
Yes I am, in June.
But I'm taking a mini van with 1500 in the back.
No I'm not, but not sure.
Yes I'm going, just don't know when.
No I'm not, but it's in July.
Yes I'm not maybe going, but don't know when.
Maybe I'll just throw my keys on your desk and retire.

And this has just been since Monday morning. Today ain't started yet.
Gotta love the military.

Friday @ home.

Work already called on the Cellphone.
It seems one phone in an office of 80+ phones isn't working.
MAJOR crisis.
NOT!
Improvise, Adapt, Overcome.

It'll still be broken when I look at it on Monday.

Pulled the Cap off the Beast last night so I can haul a coupla truckloads of mulch this weekend.
If it doesn't rain.

Pollen count is around 3,000....the air is so thick with it you have to chew it before you can inhale.

Y'all B safe

Shut off your cell phone, that would be "improvise" (or maybe overcome?)

I'm On Call 24-7-365 for emergencies.

One out of 80+ isn't an emergency in my book. (Unless he's a One-Star or better)

"What's that sir, you're breaking up, I think the solar flares are interrupting cell service"

Hi
Friday afternoon here in Germany. Weather is cool, just relaxing now. Might go practice on my inline skates, not as easy as it looks.
Be going back to Sedro Woolley in a couple of weeks. House sold in 2 days. Have to finish moving our junk out. Gonna have to get rid of a lotta of it NO room in a 5er.
Be going to Casa Grande AZ about May 20 to take delivery of the 2003 Titanium 5th wheel. Got a spot in Palm Creek golf and RV resort. Maybe I'll become a golfer. Gonna drive the Dodge CTD down, then fly back to make the move. It will be a quick trip.
Going to do tourist stuff this weekend.
What kind of ears does a tourist have?

Souvenears.
