Drizzly mornin' in DC,..... it figures.....weather's been absolutely beatiful all week......
Rented an electric "stair-climber" hand truck last night to attempt to move my new 500lb gun safe from the garage into the basement today.
Wifey's at work again.
Dog's curled up on the bed.
Coffee's hot.
I guess I'll have to wait and see if the rain will stop.
Y'all B safe,

Rainy day in the Ozarks,
The cows are running for cover and the dogs are whining to get in. Should be a big help to the already tore up driveway. I really need to get a tractor to blade the drive one of these days.
Sorry to hear about your buddy, SR. That sounds like a neat way to be remembered.
Well, I need to go find my snorkle. Have a great weekend, Y'all,

Hey Bud, enjoyed the company. It's always fun to put a face with a name.
As far as the parking, why do you think I have that big ol' hitch stickin' out back there? It takes the guess work out of knowing when to stop.
Sorry about your friend. I'm sure he's going to have a good send off.

Safe is now "safe" in the basement.
Rented one of these:
http://www.powermate.info/handtruck.htm
Excellent expense of about $90 for a 1 day rental.
I moved a ~500 pound safe from the garage up the driveway across the (now wet ) grass and down 10 basement steps by myself.
This thing is Waaaaay cool.
Picked up one of these when Bass Pro Shops had their sale in early August.
Redhead Gun safe
Not too shabby for ~$620.

Great send off for Richard. Had a guy sing "Fire on the Mountain" with about 50 of us on string instruments playing. Very few dry eyes. Everyone in overalls, big chew in the jaw, and a cold beer. Just the way he would have wanted it. Hopefully he's playing the "claw hammer" style banjo for "Sky Six" right now.
