MONDAY!!! YEAAAAA
Neighbor called about 5am, his cattle got out and wanted help bring 'em back in.
Would have a lot of fun if I had been awake!
Going to have a short work week, taking a few vacation days and going to the FQHR KS State Show this weekend, yall wish me luck!
We did real well at the NE State Show a few months ago, placed in six events, including cutting, which neither the horse or I had ever done before, but I dont think we are going to do as well this time out. I havent been spending the time in the saddle I should have been
Spent the whole weekend setting fence, so now the horseys are out on pasture( less work fer me!) Feeling it in my shoulders and back, must be getting old....
well time to peruse the forums then go to work. i am installing a new vehicle inspection system at the Armory today, the trucks drive onto a platform that is equipped with camers that can scan the under-carraige and it has a bomb-detection system that senses the common materials used in most explosives. Pretty neat stuff.
Keep the coffee coming and y'all take care!

Get busy folks, you're wasting daylight.
I'm sending all the rain we got yeterday to the right coast. Figured with all the political events taking place, you need a good flushing.
Temps in the low to mid 80's today. Standard DWI events here along with a doctor appointment this afternoon.
Ain't it great, take off a week and it takes 2 weeks to unscrew the screw ups.

Ahhhh, Isn't it nice to have SR back.

Trailer we were waiting for all day in the sunshine finally arrived late last night.
Typical Military precision.
Now forecast is for SR's rain to start early this AM and continue all day.
We (Comm & CE) have to hook this puppy up so they can move into it today.

Ahhhhh........ Another Day in DWI Paradise..........

Y'all be safe.

Looks like another gorgeous day started in Paradise. A little cooler - - that is nice. Slight clouds as the cool front moves thru. Off to Sams to see where I can spend some money. Neat place.

Oooopppss, coffee cup empty - - gotta go refill. Have a good one.

Maaaaan .... I was on a deserted beach with Pamela Anderson and was just about to get to 3rd base ... but then some crusty old ex-swabby started raisin' three kinds of noise and shook me out of a sweet dream ......... Thanks alot SR, thanks alot .

Saw an interesting sight yesterday ... a mid 70's model Ford pickup sitting on a Dodge Ram frame with the sweet rumble of a 12 valve Cummins coming out of the tailpipe. It was a pretty clean build too ... dark blue truck, camper shell, slight lift and probably 35" mud tires and Indiana tags. I'd drive it .

Finally got the riding mower goin yesterday and attacked some of the jungle up in the orchard. Also made momma and the kids a nice nature trail around the pasture so they can get out and get some exercise. Today I plan on cutting a nice patch in front of the house for my deer plot ... momma thinks it's so she can look at the deer up close from the front porch (hehehehe ... women are soooo gullible ).

Have a great day ... you too SR.

PistolWhipt:

We have a member here who fits the description of truck you saw with the exception that he has coverted his '68 F250 with a PowerStroke:

Morning All!
Hey, found out I made the cover of a local news magazine here!
Last month I went to a dance that was put on by a veterans group here( pow-wow fer y'all immigrants) and the newscrew was there snapping photos.Kinda made fools of themselves rolling around on the ground taking pictures, we all laughed at them and kinda forgot about it. Yesterday a guy I work with brought in the magazine and I was on the cover.....my 15 minutes I guess...

DieselDaze,
Looks pretty close to the one I saw ... this guy had a newer truck with an older model camper shell on it and had some nice lettering done on the tailgate that said CUMMINS TURBO DIESEL. I like the one you posted too.

I think that is a great way to keep the older rigs on the road. They were usually bullet-proof to begin with and with the engine upgrade ... wow.

HUMP DAY!

Whatta start.

Wifey left a 1/4 loaf of Bannana Nut bread on the kitchen table.
She walked back in a few minutes later to see
our 13 year old Cocker Spaniel on the table chowing down.
Gotta feeling Wifey's gonna have a little surprise from the dog to deal with when she gets home tonight.

Drizzle today, temps in the upper 50s.
Inside jobs today.
Time for a patented Power-Nap.

Y'all be safe

Now you have me confused. I always thought that the Emerald City was Seattle. Is there more than one Emerald city?
