Morning all, not starting out too good. Woke up befor the alarm, forgot my lunch, forgot my wallet, crick in my neck, but the lady at Wesco let me keep the coffee I poured after I discovered the wallet was AWOL. ;D

If you look and act anything like I do before my morning coffee, she was probably happy to do so.

Morning all,
Finally got power back after 44 hours. ;D ;D Hope it lasts....
Got confused and tried to start a new thread, not sure what day it is. :-[ :-[
Minor damage here, tree limbs all over the place, a couple pieces of sideing came loose and one of the niegbors trees on the fence. Used the gens for the 5er to power the fridge, so nothing lost there. Looks like no major damage in my neigborhood.
Not real sure about the office though. They were redoing the roof before the storm. They had the building lokded up, guess I'll try again this afternoon.
Everyone have a safe one and I hope you folks still without power get it back soon.

Hey Joel,
The one's around me were closed up yesterday, haven't been out yet today. There were a couple in Portsmouth and a couple in Hampton that were open yesterday. Had lines around the block.
The one's around here should be opening back up now that we have power back.
I'll PM you when I know more. Do you need gas or diesel or both????

Morning all, had a fun evening last night. A friend at work belong to a group called the Association of Mountain Men. They get together on on weekends on a wooded piece of property, and live in the early American lifestyle. No electricity, black powder rifles, etc, to included dressing for the period. Kurt was taking his daughter camping there last night, so Karen, Chris and I tagged along. They had a neat set up, had log cabins set up and even a blacksmith. It was just us last night, did a little shooting, and had a fire. Poor Chris found a bees nest though. Got it twice. But she shook it off and went back to having fun.

Redleg, out Montana way where I am from we had "Rendezvous". You are right, they are fun. Been lots of years since I went to one. Do your friends have a good source for period clothes, buckskins, and the like? I would not mind having a new set of 'skins. Would kinda fit the profile I am trying to convince the new son-in-law of. Here is a thought, I'll volunteer him to catch the axes next time. >

Yeah, he said they hold Rendezvous' here as well. Guys come from all over the country. Kurt makes his own leggings, moccasins, etc. As far as shirts and hats, there are Cowboy Action Shooting and Single Action Shooting Magazines full of clothing supplyers. I'm sure most would carry something "correct". Even womens clothing. Their blacksmith works day and night at the rendezvous, making knives and everything. They bring their horses too.
