Scotty,
Your truck ought to make it here just in time for the '05s to hit the street!!!!!

You should have gotten the black one. I think it looks better.

Re:Water Cooler, 10 -16 August 2003

Morning folks,

Sitting here watching the circus they call the recall election. I don't know how much more California I can take. No wonder they call it the land of fruits and nuts, every one of 'em is running for governor.

BTW, I heard a rumor, or read something somewhere, can't remember where-

Is Scotty really getting a black truck? Sounds like another grapevine story, y'all know how those work. Starts out with Scotty is buying a yellow Nissan Frontier and by the time it make the rounds it's turned into Scotty has a black Dodge.....

Funny how this stuff gets turned around as it makes the rounds.......

Shortround,
Some of your Air Force humor is hillarious. The rowing story might not be folklore!
Folks in my squadron have been laughing for a half an hour! Got an ORI coming up and the timing couldn't have been better for the quality humor!

Re:Water Cooler, 10 -16 August 2003

Kinda quiet this week, so far. Got several phone calls from associates that want to take my place on this deployment. They're young, dumb, and full of duck butter.
I seem to remember I was that way once, about thirtyseveral years ago.
Trying to get ready for what is going to be a real boring meeting in the morning. Got myself fortified with bratwurst and homemade kraut, purple hull peas w/cornbread and onion, tuna salad, 6 boiled eggs, and a baked tater with chili, cheese, and other stuff. All that's toped off with a couple of cold brewskis. Might just be a short meeting.

Better turn on the "No Smoking" light for the meeting.

Since so many come in here, maybe I can get a quick answer before Smurff (the little short black one) leaves.
2000, 2500, CTD, Auto, towing and camper pkg.
Tach has a 500 rpm "jump"/"jiggle" sometimes. When it's dancing the engine stumbles/surges. Tach quits working and engine is smooth. Tach starts working again and engine remains smooth. It acts up only when the tach is erratic. Any clues?

Sounds like a Crank Position Sensor going south, or loose connection

Well, I'm back at the pit and feel much more smarterer since I spent the last two days in training. Was pretty cool, got trained on powder actuated tools. The only chance I'll ever get to fire a weapon on company property.

Gave my home computer an injection last night to get rid of some virus it got.

All is well. Huey, I brought fresh creamy doughnuts to class Monday morning but forgot to tell you. darnitall.

Re:Water Cooler, 10 -16 August 2003

Mornin' all,
Had some cooler temps last night and figured it would be nice to inspect the cable climber tree stand that I bought last weekend (part of my weekly tithing to Bass Pro Shops).
Whoaaaa, that thing looks down right unstable just sitting on the ground. There are ropes and straps and harnesses and bungee cords and cables and metal platforms. My wife has this vision of me suspended from the tree caught up in all the straps while my stand is still sitting on the ground and the deer are running off with my gun and laughing at me (a hunter she is not). Might be a while before I place my full trust in that thing. My vision of me is sitting in my stand about 2' off the ground, resting my feet on the forest floor while checking my "light lockers" for leaks.
Have a good day ya'll.

So that's what I saw in my monitor. Man you need to give us a heads up before you do that again. Next time I'll try to not be eating lunch in front of the screen when you do that
