Top,
That gorilla I was seen with was my bodyguard, ex jarhead type. Real easy to work with as long as you have plenty of bananas.
Got a 0900 post op appointment. Hope to get this patch off.
SH,
Fruit of the Looms? Not required here. We all wear Big Smiths, unbuttoned down each side. Makes it easier cause we can use both hands to properly aim.
Top, Get those pictures? Couple of good head shots.
Back later, breakfast is ready.
Shortround out

Got the pics SR thanks
Don't pay any attention to Pistol, if he could count he wouldn't be making a career out of the military either
(hiding my retired Army ID)
Psssst.... Pistol,...how many fingers are you holding up?
SR, give me the number for that doc, would ya?

Morning troops.
"Stuff" had to be taken care of before logging in here this AM.
Another cool day in DC.
Rain in the forecast for this evening.
Bunch-o-Taskings on the agenda for today.
Might interfere with my Power-Nap.
Be safe
Ed

Half way through the week!
Got nothing in the forcast here... fairly boring fall so far, but it makes for some really clear, crisp days.
Hope you all have a great one today.
(Dont worry Ed, I'll double the length of my Power Nap to make up for the one you'll miss ).

Went in for the post op check up yesterday. Doc said everything was perfect. He checked the vision and it was 20/25, and that was 24 hrs after surgery. He also said that it will get better since it takes 4-6 weeks to settle in. Man, I can see things I haven't seen in years.
Our sight is one of those things too many of take for granted. I consider it a great blessing to have a Doc as talented as he is.
Top, you serious about his name and phone number?
Wife and I are heading out to burn a bit of diesel fuel. See y'all later.

Morning smellers,
Got a tasty batch of Salmon smoked yesterday, gotta throw a Steelhead on tonight. Took Kaley out last night too, didn't see a single bird, had to keep beating her off the deer and squirrel's though. I told Karen she would her letting her run loose all the time, but who am I? I'll have to threaten her with turning over the Kaley duties and getting a new dog. Looking forward to a visit from Chaikwa maybe next weekend. Munch on some salmon and cider while we play with a welder, have to stock up on some meat, briquettes and adult beverages as well.....

Happy Friday All.
Today is 'Sports Day' here.
This means the masses will be otherwise occupied for the next 6 or so hours so my day should be free of the "Oh, by the way...this has been sitting on my desk all week & HAS to be taken care of by Close Of Business today" jobs.
Be safe.

Mornin' all.
Got back from PA middle of this week. Man, I forgot what trees look like in the Fall.
Getting ready to go to Shiner TX tomorrow for "Bocktoberfest", an all day outdoor concert sponsored by Shiner beer. Asleep at the Wheel, Kenny Wayne Shephard and Kid Rock are some of the performers. 300 miles there, all day concert and then 300 miles back will make for one long day. Didn't find out in time we were going to make reservations at the camping areas, oh well. Can't wait to see the "scenery"
