Verizon Droid Help
I know, Jack has a dedicated Droid forum, but Im an Apple fanboy and didnt want to join just for one question.
Have a friend who has Verizon. Older guy. Likes Verizon's service, but hates his Crackberry. He is looking for a touchscreen that is easy to use. Mostly just email and some websurfing. I told him droid would be the way to go but which one.
Yall give me some ideas. Hes out of pocket on it due to still being in contract but price does not matter. He is willing to purchase at full retail.
Thanks Yall

I switched from Sprint to Verizon about a month ago. I went with the LG Ally phone w/ Droid software. It's been nothing short of amazing for me. It's fast, smooth and pretty easy to navigate. I came from a real basic phone so my current setup continues to blow me away.
Now I guess their is a new Droid software out, DroidX? Dunno much about it but if he likes to stay current on things that's available.
*Edit* Where is this Droid forum your talking about?

I have had my Driod for about 6 months now. Great device.
Verizon has the Driod, Droid Incredible or the Droid X. I guess it depends on which one fits the hand better. Also, the Droid has a full keyboard where the other two have the soft keyboard - depends on what you like.

Thanks for the advice yall
I just tell him that his best bet might be to go down to the store and use em for a while. Which ever one he likes best wins.
I do know he wants something iPhone-ish as far as the touchscreen and ease of use goes. He doesnt much care for the physical keyboard on his BB.

Love my Droid.. Much much better than the old Crackberry Storm I had. Very easy to set up with my work emails. Also, gotta love all those apps!

That was what he was going to get, the Storm cause he really wants a touchscreen. I love my old BB but have not heard anything good about the Storm so told him to hold off.

I have the storm 9530 which was the original touchscreen storm and I love it, I bought another one on-line so I'd have a spare
I hate to change phones but I'm 57 and technologically challenged
son's in the Army and has a droid, he loves it for email and updating his calender

Advocate of getting the ban button used on him...
Wife and I both got our Droids last November. Absolutely love them. I also have a crackberry for work phone and the Droid blows it away in almost every aspect.

Got a Droid X about a couple weeks ago, I hated it at first because it was different. After a week it's awesome!! As far as web browsing, email and social networking it is great. I'd never had a phone with apps before... this is very cool!!!

The only thing I don't like about my droid is that the touchscreen is incredibly sensitive and sometimes the battery life is very short, although that depends on how I am using it.
