His 6.0 is bellowing white smoke and there's water coming out of the exhaust and pouring out from the engine compartment on the passenger side. No water in the oil, though. Ford dealership says they are stacked up so bad they can't have a diagnosis for 10 days!

My fathers 2003 6.0 was doing the same thing when it gave up the ghost. This was after 5 turbos and several injectors. It was in the shop for a long time he had 146,000 Km's at the time, still had a little warranty left.
After all he had been through, Ford just took it from him and gave him a smoking deal on a gas pod

HEHEHEHEHEHEHEHE,
Yeap, I know exactly what happened. Good friend of mine did the same thing going up I-40 in S.C. It went boom.... Basically what happened is his head gaskets went. It over pressurized his cooling system, and popped the EGR cooler flushing coolant in his intake, in the cylinders, and out the back. We put 20 gals of water through that thing to get it to a rest area to transfer his horses over to my trailer. Went about 2 miles down the road and hydrolocked it. Hence new longblock, turbo, EGR cooler. We were wondering if we should have burnt it down, well we did and didn't even know it. They said it blew the headgaskets because the variable vain turbo slider got stuck from soot buildup. The new turbo's have a groove cut in the housing of the slider so soot buildup won't be an issue.
Oh, have to mention a friend of his truck just did the same thing..... Ford 6.0 , a mechanics gold mine.

Sounds about normal for a 6-OHNO tell the dealer i can do the diagnosis in about 10 seconds or less. It's time for the lift the cab special and remove the heads. Does it still have warranty ? If yes hook a trailer to it and take it for a drive then it will be very easy for them to figure out- ORDER an engine
He may come out better that way in the long run. At least the parts should be there when they finally get around to working on it .

Is excessive pressures a big problem for these trucks, even the new 6.4's?
My buddy has already had 2 new radiators installed cause they wouldn't stop leaking and the truck hasen't even broken 20k yet.

Administrator ........ DTR's puttin fires out and workin on big trucks admin
Sorry Nate, I was holding my grandaughter and responded to your question typing with one hand.
The 6.4 has 2 egr coolers, both liquid cooled, what I was implying was he could be getting excessive cooling system pressure from a failed or partially failed egr cooler. Was their any coolant puking out of the dgas bottle? Or is it a definitive radiator leak? And where was it leaking from on the radiator?
Tim

Funny thing is, he seems to be much happier with his current 6.4 then his last 6.0 he had.
