Yes, and I am a bit old. Not to mentioned, I'd rather be a CWO than an LDO any day.

Any of you remember the days of the "hip pocket commission"? Top and maybe some of the old jarheads and squids might. I think those went out in the mid 70's, right after Vietnam. A bunch of folks got them from Hati, the Dominican Republic, and Vietnam. During the Easter Offensive of '72, a bunch of us got pinned. Only had to keep it 30 days back then.
Recovering from the Altus Grape Festival. Free wine, free tours, more free wine. Got to plan for the Wine Festival in September.
Anyone know the best was to keep soot off the fenders? Other than turn downs and stacks.

Stingerpup. Sorry to hear about the passover (promotion passover, that is). I spent three years watching my friends getting Gunny before I put mine on. Spent a few months on amphibs (like 14) during westpacs floating with your guys up there. What craft are you on?

Bummer! I'm waiting on the E-6 results (USAF), but I'm pretty sure I didn't make it, 1st time testing, and was too busy to study...and a 20% promo rate.

Well, if it was only three years, I would have ever said anything. Mine is up to eight!!

I've made two deployments in the last two years (hey, I sound like a Marine ), and I was on the Bonhomme Richard LHD-6 in '03 (LC-64), and I was USS Rushmore LSD-47 '04-05 (LC-80).

But, my orders are enroute.....and I am done with the at sea stuff. Going to USSTRATCOM, and loving it!!

Well, we just missed each other. I was on the Bonnie Dick and Pearl Harbor (Girl Harbor) 01-02, then on the G'town in 03-04. Have fun at StratCom.
