Question USDOT Enforcement??

Am considering short vacation through several states (possibly VA, WV, PA, TN, KY, OH, IL, IN, AL, GA) driving diesel dually, no trailer, no cargo, greater than 10k weighted, but strictly noncommercial/nonbusiness, no USDOT numbers. Has anyone been stopped soley for no numbers?? Warning or fine?? Have tried numerous ways to get info from "official sources", but it seems either nonexistent or contradictory. Am just looking for an enjoyable trip with Mrs. riderdog in a comfortable vehicle. Thanks for your help.

Should not be an issue, you areover 10k GVW, but not commerical, as long as you don't have a big decal on your truck with a business name, you will be fine.

Come visit WA. They don't check pick ups around here and look at ya funny if you drive into the scales!

I've driven a dually all over the country for years. If you are not commercial just go like your driving the family car and don't think about it twice.
