US Postal Rant
#16
I sent a quote to Ark. from Mich. by USPS next day ( don't remember the cost ) and 4 days later the customer received it. I went down to complain about the cost for the service received. they informed me that ARK. is not in the same district and overnight is not possible. They kept my money and smiled.

FedEx does have the contract for the air routes but that's the extent they carry mail . http://www.airlinepilotforums.com/ca...cooperate.html

Have always hated USPS...have the worst luck with them. Shipped an Express Mail Package (supposed to be overnight) a couple years ago, took a week to get there. Just recently shipped a Priority Package (2-3 Days), took a week and a half to get there. Not to mention the USPS Online Tracking System sucks big time! Will now always be shipping via UPS or FedEx.

I usually find that the advantageof UPS/Fed-EX/DHL is that the people (1) speak the language of the country in which they reside,(2) seem to care about their customers,(3) if they fail to function at the junction I am given a rebate,(4) the more I ship the more discounts I am given and, I don't recieve other peoples goods. At the moment DHL is the least expensive of the bunch.

Sad part is the driver in your delivery area can have a lot to do with your opinion of the company. I personally have a sorry, lazy fed ex driver. I have always had good dependable ups drivers. But I know of some sorry ups drivers not on my route. Therefore; I prefer UPS.
