The amount of change I find in my center console usually determines when my truck gets washed. When there looks to be about $10 worth of quarters down there, its off to car wash I go!!! This last time I think it was about 4 months before that happened. It was pretty filthy......

I used to get a 16oz. Dr. Pepper every morning. Back when you could win a free one on occasion with the right label under the cap. I would toss the loosers on the dash, instead of the roadway. I cleaned it off one time and had 114, if I remember right. It was fun though, watching people who rode with me go wild looking for a winner.

Yes, people often forget that the roads are America's trash-can. More litter, I say!

Aren't they a silver dollar? I know I have some in a box somewhere, but I don't remember.

$1.00, but they don't look siliver....more like brass. Here, if you put a paper bill in the stamp machine at the post offices, you get SBA's back for change.

They are almost identical in size and weight to a quarter, and silver in color. It's no wonder they were a flop.

The Susan B. Anthony Dollar originally was originally conceived to have 8 or 10 or 12(?)actual flats around the edges instead of the round edges of our typical (real) coins. I think at the last minute they took notice of the hue-and-cry from someone within the govt who realized an SBA dollar coin with flats had absolutely NO way of EVER working properly in ANYONE's SBA capable coin operated machine... They compromised and made the edges round but kept the embossed "illusion" there were flats around the edges...

It still flopped....
