You've got a point there Ed. As good a shot as I am, good thing I've got the extended mags for both guns Haven't been able to shoot much anymore, need to get back to the range!

Not to pry much, but why do you reload shot shell? Even without buying the hulls, it costs more to load anything smaller than #4's than it cost to just buy new.
midwayusa.com has wolf on sale for $2.49/5

Last I figured it was costing me about $44-45/250 shells to reload, figuring the hulls being used 5 times...I can actually get closer to 20 times use out of them before they start to deteriorate. A case of comparable shells would cost anywhere from $48-53, so I'll reload for the heck of it!
In my personal opinion!!
Chris
BTW, bought 10 flats of the Wolf shotshells once...they were OK for 16yd targets, but they got consistently worse the closer you got to the 27yd line. Forget shooting Sporting Clays with them. I'll keep my reloads!

The only wolf ammo I have used is 7.62X39 and 9X19. I had an sks that loved the stuff, my pistol isn't real fond of it.
I can get Winchester Super X for $3.99/25 or the Remington or Federal 100 count value packs for $15 each.
I dont use enough buck shot or large bird shot to really worry about the cost on it, but I can go through a couple hundred small bird shot in a day.

Whenever I go shooting with the shotguns it's usually a 500-800 round day. I have shot some 11-1200 round days too! My reloads shoot better, with less recoil than what I can buy for the money!
Keep in mind that this could all be in my head, but I'm more consistent with my reloads than I am with the Remington Gun Clubs, or the Walmart knockoffs. They also shoot cleaner, which is a big plus in my book!

Disclaimer: The reason I used the 5th Marines is because that's the outfit of the old fella I met at Perkins resturaunt today. He was still in school for Guadalcanal, but fought at Cape Gloucester, Peleliu, and Okinawa, and served in China after the war. Those men were stone killers, as evidenced by their record in combat. There were many other units from WW1, WW2, Korea, Vietnam, Panama, 1st Gulf, 2nd Gulf, Somalia, Kosovo, etc etc, that not only fought well, but fought against exceptional odds and won. But the 5th Marines are on my mind.

That's not bad considering the circumstances. Keep in mind, they are working against a man with good cover and concealment, and who is demonstrably ready and willing to shoot YOU. And if he just wings ya, he'll be more than happy to finish you off. These guys aren't the 5th Marines from WW2, they are cops. That is probably the most stressed they will ever be in their life.
