Trucks and Sergeant Rock

Guys,

I watch powerblock almost every sunday, due there being nothing else good on tv at that hour, plus Danica isnt too bad to look at and come to think of it, neither is Jessie from extreme4x4... Finally after waitin for a long time Stacey brings back that power wagon he is building up.. Now what engine do u think he will stuff under there? My guess is it will be a dual fuel like most military vehicles are since he wants to "keep it with tradition" Since when do military rigs run on Irock 49' swamper tho? Thanks guys!

I chose dual fuel but man I don't know. Stacey is a pretty hard guy to figure out when it comes to engines. Just look at what he put in copperhead.

I've got a feeling that he's going to be going with a gasser in Sgt. Rock. Every build he's done has revolved around gassers, and he rarely does anything with the diesels (besides the new product installs every once in a while).

But he does spend a lot of time in the "How it works" segments looking at the diesels, so maybe there is hope.

An intercooled 5.9 would be hard to package in there, but it sure would be cool if he did it. A 3.9 with no intercooler would fit real nice and be "enough" power for it, but he's not the kind of guy who settles for "enough".

I'd like to see him toss a built 12 valve with dual stacks crawling up the side of that beast... doubt it will happen.

what he had under that sheet definitely didn't look like an I-6....

The poll results seem to show what Stacey would be dropping in it if the members of the DTR produced his show

Unfortunately we don't so it's not going to be one of our babies

I thought it was odd that he said the bottom end of the Hemi wouldn't hold up to over 400 ponies.... Regardless, that's a nice engine but I doubt many of the common folk can afford that thing. Any estimates on the price??

Unfortunately(IMO) he didn't choose the right option. A modified 12 valve Cummins would look awfully pretty under the hood of that rig. Don't forget the 6" stacks that would fit perfect with the existing bed lines.... looks like it already has the proper radius near the cab. But, judging by the end of the show, he would have made another mistake and had Banks build his engine.....

Yes, that is true, but there were people here in the forum (and Stacy himself) that said it would be too long. I would have like to have seen that, but we all knew in our hearts that it wasn't going to happen.

But, I was one of the winners that said big block gasser!!

I was hoping for a 4bt if not a 6bt. He got me all excited when he announced it first! Ah well, it looks like its going to be an awesome project when it's finished. I betcha that engine cost RTV productions at least $15-20k.

Edit: found pricing ....

OMG!!!

that is INSANE for an engine price!! and he didnt keep it carbed, he added options to it!.. As far as the stacks go, it wasnt gonna happen anyways, Stacey truley let me down there, he is gonna put machine guns, I dont think that rig will be wheeled or anything, But with a cummins under the hood, it be sweet, even if it was 4 BT.... Now I think that truck is just for looks, but then again i could be wrong, He extended the frame as well for the homemade shackles that he has for the truck, now you mean to tell me the cummins still wouldnt fit? His words exactly, he considered it... Well... not hard enough... if you ask me.. And if he wanted to keep it "traditional" with miltary a dual fuel woulda been the key... But since it is a Dodge Mopar machine, i guess that engine he chose wasnt so bad after all... Not a total dissapointment in the long run, just the desire to see him actually do somethin diesel... again.. wishful thinkin or so it seems....

i was really wantin to see a cummins turbo diesel in it. Needless to say, i was really disappointed too. the stacks (which he had the bed made so that they would accomidate them) jsut wont be same with a gasser. if it woulda been me, i wouldnt have even thought of anything else. But then again its not mine so he can do anything he wants with it because of the fact that its his. lol ill still watch it because its a really cool truck. he always goes out and 'tests' them. if u know what i mean. theres no telling what all he will do with this thing. im looking forward to it. jsut my $.02
