"Truck-Nutz" Outlawed in Florida

I heard on Sirius Radio this morning that the ever popular "Truck-Nutz" that alot of truck owners have hanging from their receiver hitches have been outlawed in Florida now. The fine for having them hanging from the receiver hitch is like $65.00.

The Florida Senator that introduced the bill said he felt they were "inappropriate" for the State!

I always thought they were immature and disgusting but I don't know how they can attempt to legislate something like that.

My thoughts exactly, Lary.

But I've come to think that there is no limit to what can be legislated if someone wants it badly enough.

I used to have them to prove a point (don't ask). I don't have them on anymore, but wow, what a law. "What're you here for?" "I got 3 citations for having Truck Nutz" Boy I could hear the laughter now!

Other states are attempting to ban them including MD and VA but the VA Senator is writing the bill to ban "replicas of human genitalia " .
"Not guilty , Your Honor . They are not human . "

Geesh! I agree whole heartily. I am so sick of silly laws legislating everything. I don't care for "truck nutz" either.......but if you want some on your truck...knock yourself out.

Locally, we now have laws against talking on a cell phone in school zones. I understand that it's for safety. But what about putting on makeup, eating a burger, reading a book, or etc. etc???

Now they are trying to pass a law about wearing your pants hanging down on your behind. I guess it's an attempt to clean up the "ghetto".

Where does it end? It doesn't.

I just get tired of all of this sillyness being put upon otherwise law abiding citizens. How about let's expend some energy and money and enforce laws that are REALLY important, like illegal immigration?? Or build some jails and prisons so that when the police do make a good arrest, they don't push someone else out the back door because of lack of space? (revolving door)

..

I don't like them either, but doesn't the Florida legislature have more important things to do?
