Toyota truck commercial
Anyone see that newer toy truck commercial? The one where the empty box is falling off the edge of a cliff. Wouldn't you think that the momentum of all that weight, 6400lbs., would just drag the toy off the hill with it. Well, I guess it didn't it. I didn't see the fine text. Was there a claim saying that it was an actual real world test?

Tundras
I don't know about everybody else, but I'm not seeing many new Tundras around here yet. The market for another 12-15mpg. 1/2 ton truck is kind of drying up I believe, plus those trucks are quite expensive. Probably a gas to drive(no pun intended) with that motor and auto. though.

I'm looking at an MSRP quote for a new tundra right now from my truck shopping. I almost bought one because I didn't want another dodge.
About $35,500 for an SR5 (mid level) double cab (like ext cab) aftermarket leather, 2wd, TRD suspension, Nav with backup monitor and the 10 speaker JBL stereo and XM.
I bought the CTD in my sig for $34,700... So I think I got more of a truck with 4x4, and diesel. Only thing I'm missing is the Nav and stereo really. Only thing that I really don't like is the crappy factory radio, but mine is the single CD standard although it still sucks over the Toy standard stereo.
The Tundra believe it or not has to be registered as a 3/4 ton around here. And it has power and is quick... It handles well and is pretty advanced over my Dodge. The MPG rating is 20mpg hwy.
I'm not knocking the yota, just saying I'm not regreting not buying one. The truck is more Lux than the dodge hands down, but I really don't care... I'm changing the suspension on mine anyway and can upgrade the stereo.
If anyone wants I can break down the option prices on the Tundra, but from my experience they don't wheel and deal much on the Toyotas, my brother bought a Tacoma a couple months ago from his good friend who owns a dealership and he showed them invoice and it isn't much below MSRP. He bought the truck a little below invoice which was about 3500 off sticker.

Well, it's a "light duty" 3/4 ton actually.. And it handles better than my truck... Although I have no complains about being able to get my big ol truck around the twisties, it is actually quite well at inspiring confidence.
The "choppy" ones they are testing that I've read about have the TRD suspension.. Which is choppy although the ones I drove rode much better than my 04 1500 reg cab Dodge on 20's with 63K miles on it.
