Unhappy Totalled the truck yesterday

All I can say is that my passenger and I both walked from the hospital last evening. No other vehicles were involved. God was watching, and we were blessed.

I did want to say that kissing my wife and hugging my son meant a lot more last night, and it's unfortunate that it takes something like that to keep my perspective on life at times. The material things can be replaced, other things can't....

I also wanted to pass along how much fun and enjoyment I have experienced being a member here. Boy have I learned a lot! I will put that in to practice with the next CTD!

If I learn anything else from the accident in terms of equipment failures or so forth, I will pass along any info.

A little sore this morning, but wow. I gotta say that these things are built like tanks. I did win one trophy with it, only because I came in last place at the Indy Dyno Day back in February!

Other than that, no ribbons or plaques. But what really counts is that in the end, it took care of me.

God bless all.

Matt

Glad your OK!

I've been through a few things the past few years that gave me the same perspective you have now. Don't loose that feeling!

Yup, it's done.

Sore today and this evening, but tylenol is cheap. Turns out that even though my buddy got released from the hospital last night (later than me), he has a broken collar bone, separated shoulder, and fractured his L1 vertebrae. He is at home resting peacefully and will recover in good time.

I appreciate all of the thoughts!

Matt

Oh, and yes. Might wanna keep your eyes on the classifieds for some 2nd gen 24 valve goodies. Got an itch for a 3rd gen!

Hhhmmm, I think this one lived some what of a charmed life. 142,000 miles on a #53 block, original VP-44, and only 2 lift pumps....

Glad to hear you're ok, and that your friend made through without any major injuries.
Too bad about such a sweet truck though. Can you tell us what caused the wreck?

Front view

Best pic I could get. Most of damage was to the underside of the front. Axle and so forth, was all relocated to the passenger side about 4 inches or so.
