If you are Air Force, you should have a calibration shop there. Most National Guard maintenance activities have a cal lab. It takes about 3 minutes to cal a wrench. You could work up an Inter Service Support Agreement with them. As long as the DA 80 label is current, the item is certified for all DoD equipment.

I bought a Sears click type torque wrench many many years ago when they offered lifetime warranty even on calibration. So I get it done every couple of years. I have the original bill so they cannot give me a hassle. The bill is usually 40 dollars or so.(I see the invoice attached to the wrench when I get it back) One of the best tools I ever bought. Snap on will not calibrate mine for free either. Only for one year after purchase.

I have been a very "GOOD" custumer to snappy. My dealer has bent over backwards to bring great service. The guy's at work give me flak because I get good deals. But hey when you revamp your complete tool set + two boxes totaling over 40K in less than 4yrs, you get a little more "FREEBIES" ...... I personally have had two recalibrated at "no charge", now is there one and steve is not charging me? Or there isn't one I am not sure. But you spend the money for Snap On tools it "should be free". I have also sent impact's and ratchets back to get fixed at no charge, a calibration should fall in the same catagory.
