Today hasn't been a good day so far.
Heading west out of north bay Ontario this morning, ran into a little freezing rain, was searching for a place to get off the road and weather out the storm, rounded a bend and saw a jackknifed rig coming straight for me, and boy was he a movin.... I tried to ditch in order to better my chances, probably good that I did... I was in the black truck...
Currently in the ER at north bay general hospital. Left side of me is hurting pretty bad, don't think anything is broken but man it sure hurts to move. Waiting on x rays to come back now. Yes, I had my seatbelt on. Drive safe out there ya'll

With age comes the cage
Ouch!
Hang in there, just remember what nurse good-body from He-Haw said "if it hurts when you move it that way - well then don't move it that way"
Hope both you and your truck gets fixed and back on the road soon..

Dud, that just gave me a nasty flash back to an accident I had 35 year ago.
If your talkin, your survivin. They had to cut me out of my car.

You had a bad day for sure. Better than the parents of the young girl I shoveled off the floor of their home that was on fire.
I hope you heal quickly.

Thanks guys, I'm out of the ER now, looking at the pics I'm glad I decided to ditch it. I don't think I would be posting if I hadn't done so.
Doc says nothing is broken, just really bruised. I'm pretty sore tonight, got a prescription for Tylenol 3, and got some ibprofen, the two of them together if keeping things bearable, I haven't found a comfortable way to lay down yet ( I'm at a hotel, with none of my stuff except my wallet and cell phone) so it looks like I'll be sleeping here on this chair. Everyone survived this somehow, the 5 people in the sheriffs van probably got the worst, the trans x truck wiped them off the road before he hit me.
I wish none of this ever happened, but I'm glad I did what I did, calling my gf and my family from the ER wasn't any fun, but it's better than someone else calling them saying I'm not coming home.
