Thanks for the "snuff" - got this one wrong. (Hehe, I think that sniff would be a totally different topic)
As seen on this board I'm a smoker- much too many cigarettes.

Keep on voting- looks like good 58% smokers until now.

I smoke an occasional cigar in good company. Less than one a month, probably doesn't count.

My granddad cured me of smoking when I was about 13. He used to smoke a pipe (thankfully he has quit that now....although he does chew tobacco on occasion). One day I asked him if I could smoke too. He stuffed the pipe full of Sir Walter Raleigh tobacco (I used to LOVE them smell of that stuff when it was in the bag), lit it up, handed it to me and told me to take a big, deep breath.

Needless to say, once was enough. Never tried the alcohol even to this day. Just give me a big glass of iced tea, ice water, lemonade, COLD milk or a cold DrPepper and I'm a happy man.

Although, I frequently hold the toothpick in my mouth from lunch until the end of the day when I'm driving home. Funny I guess....

Markus:

Need to have more than one choice on your "poll". I like snuff at work (and when working on my truck and in the yard) and 2 to 3 cigarettes a day.

Smoked for 30 years built it up to 3 packs a day and smoked em right down to the filter If I opened my last pack I went into a panic had to get some backups. If the phone rang in the middle of the night I reached for my smokes. I started to cough pretty bad and my breath was gone so I reached deep for all I could and quit. I have stopped for 6 years now so maybe for good. I have to admit I do feel alot better.

Pack a day since I was 16.

Got up to 2 packs way back when, but really hard to get back up there when you can't smoke in any building anymore.

Did pretty good, didn't smoke in my truck for the first year though.
Still only occasionally while driving.

Phox I remember going to Salt lake back in the early 80's and it seemed like smoking was really frowned on then. Is it that way all over Utah ? Is smoking banned Like in California ?

It's not as bad as it used to be, the frowned upon part.

It's almost as bad as Commifornia, you can still smoke in bars here, but that's about it.

Been stuck on Skoal straight for about a year now. Had previous long stints with copenhagen and kodiak and other flavors of Skoal. I don't think I have smoked in about 3 or 4 years, but I have been unable to kick the chew habit. You can't smoke in my new truck but you can chew. Just don't be knockin your spitter over on my nice carpet or fists will be flyin!

Don't smoke or drink. My wife more than makes up for me though. My father smoked marboros and he ain't around anymore . If you can do one good thing for yourself quite smoking. Just think how much money you'll have to mod your baby. My wife spends here money on smokes and I just keep on bombing my baby.

Started smoking in 6th grade....12 years old? It was the whole peer pressure thing. 18 years later, I'm still at it. Wife and I quit for 7 months a few years back. Even after 7 months I still craved one like the day after I set them down. Most recently, last year, we quit for about 6 days. Oh well.....one day.
