well let me see didn't we sell Sadam all that EDITso he could use it on his neighbor Iran who was our enemy. Can't figure that out. At that point he was our buddy then when he doesn't play by our rules we invade his country---oh that's how it works.
On what GWB has done in his 4 yrs. Lets see he's invaded 2 countries turned a 4.6trillon surplus into a 6 trillon deficit for a minus 10 ??EDIT off the world with his his 'high horse attitude' thats not bad but at that rate we can't afford another 4yrs or we'll be broke just like the Soviet union. You say that he created 30k jobs-- they must have built a ??EDIT of alot of MC and BK and Wendys. I am not democrat I am kinda bi partisan, But this clown has to go. I voted for Nixon he gets impeached, voted for Regan and he gets caught trading drugs for arms to the Iran contra. Oh yeah that was poor ol Ollie North and not Regan. Yeah right he didn't even have the ??EDIT to fess up to it he let poor Ollie take the hit for him--what a guy. ??EDIT I don't ahve a good track record in picking the right guy now do I. Whatdya think??Edited by Admin

dezeldog, you talk about how bad things are for you and your family because you are out of work. you also seem to put much of the blame on the current president.
I agree that it is difficult here in Michigan but I do not think that this president bears that responsibility. In fact it was Ross Perot who warned us that the sucking sound would be our jobs leaving if we allowed NAFTA.so did George Bush orchestrate NAFTA? As far as offending the rest of the world well I think you should look at who was offended and then ask yourself if we were treaded with respect? I guess we should have left some of them in the **** or communist control at the end of WWII the problem with much of the people we seem to offend is that they never seem to be offended when they have their hand out and we are putting greenbacks in them. The continuing beauty of this country is hat you or anyone else remains with basic freedoms that are beyond most other countries those freedoms extend so far that you are allowed to make half thought out and one sided me only comments without any fear of rebuttal or censorship (except when you blatantly ignore the rules). I personally do not blame this president for the job loss of American manufacturing jobs and nothing you have posted bears any factual support other than the fact that these jobs were lost in the aftermath of the previous administration mistakes. During the current administrations watch. As far as comparing this country to the USSR thats laughable and shows some pretty shallow thinking on your part. You have obviously experienced too much pain over the past 3 1/2 years to vote for George Bush this time around. I too could be persuaded to vote for someone other than Mr. Bush but I could not be pursuaded to vote for Senetor Kerry in any way , shape or form. I will cast my vote for Mr. Bush this election because I have to the best of my ability , given thought to what each of these men offer to the long term health of my country. In this process Mr. Bush comes out on top.

Top that's two warning shots ya fired acrooos my bow. What's up with that??? Some people call other people 'pigheaded' and that's ok. Or maybe it's my political views that really count. That's the beauty of this country we're entitled to our own opinions like 'em or not but you all are coming at from all angles. Now I know how our poor soliders in Iraq feel. Insurgents everywhere and very little what I would call good solid leader ship. I'm still trying to figure out whose the leader here. This is a pretty close knit group you'll need all that and then some come Nov. Unless of course it can be decided by the state of Fla. What a -------joke. Unbelievable. That's almost to good to be true, have you're brothers state win the election for ya. Well there ya go --only in America. How'd I do this time TOP???

Oh I almost forgot Blackjack. I am not out of work. I am a retired UNION sheetmetal worker and kinda proud of it. When I was a bit younger I had the opportunity to choose between 3 or 4 different good paying jobs and today that is not the case. NAFTA sure didn't do us any favors and with all the outsourceing good jobs are like frogs hair hardly ever. Yeah there are jobs out there like hand shakers at Wallys etc etc. We definitely could use some manufacturing jobs. Such as steelmills rubber factories, textile mills but I guess we're not smart enough to do those jobs anymore. Two in a row TOP

dezeldog, I think TOP(!) was refering more to the vast number of EDIT's in your posts, not to your opinion. Take a look at a few past political threads, and you will see that it is not the opinions of the speaker that get them scolded, but rather the presentation of said opinion. I too have been scolded by these fine moderators, but it was the tone of my speaking, and how it could be interpreted differently by others, that justified that "warning shot."

Chill Out, Man. The Mods have said time and time again that they will allow these discussions to continue if they follow the site rules, and I thank and applaude them for this. Please, Consider your thoughts, and don't ruin it for the rest of us.

Thanks,
Chris

BTW, GO BUSH Sorry, Had to do it

Here in Tenn. we have alot of new jobs coming in and they aren't hand shakers. The reason is we have a right-to-work state. Unions are killing jobs.

I take it as a compliment to be called a close knit group with the people on this site.

If you would take it easy and watch the cussing Top wouldn't have a problem and nobody else would.
There are a lot of people on this site that have different political views but we all work it out. If you would hang around I'm sure we could learn from you and you could learn from us. That is what this site is all about. So take it easy!

With all the different types of people, different backgrounds, education, opinions etc etc, on this site, there is absolutely NO way that we will all agree. So to say it once more .....

We must agree to disagree, agreeably.

Nicely. With no cussing! OK?

Thank you for trying gentlemen, but he now has 30 days of quiet time to consider his attitude and posting problems.

Barry and Chris and Stan all hit the nail on the head in regards to content of posts here. I don't agree with a good deal of what gets said here, but as long as it is done within the rules, I will support it.

We do support freedom of speech here at DTR, as long as it is done in a respectful manner. We have many female members, and children who frequent this site, and it is my job to keep it accessible for them as well.

Some of you may find that oppressive, but I think the majority of you can appreciate that your wives and children won't be subjected to objectionable material here.

FYI
Sun. Night at 9:00pm EDT
There will be a program called Breaking Point on Fox News Channel that will implicate Saddam and The U.N. in giving many millions of the Oil for Food money to Al Queda through some companies that are known to have ties with Al Queda.

Thanks Ron!
There is a good deal more going on than most people understand about Iraq. About time some of it comes out where the average Joe can see it.

I remember when that used to be the job of the Media, now it is nothing but agenda and ratings. Walter Winchell must be turning over in his grave.

Dezeldog, you are right when you said a lot of men joined the Guard because they don't usually don't get called up. However I knew a lot of guys that joined the Air Force or Navy because they knew they would be less likely to have to fight in the jungles of Viet Nam than if they joined the Army or Marines. Does that make the Air Force or Navy any less honorable? I don't think so but a lot of people seem to be saying that Kerry's service was more honorable than Bush's just because Kerry went to Viet Nam. I have nothing but respect for anyone that serves their country because they are the ones that have kept this country free so that you and I can have this discussion.

I cannot support the democrats because they support abortion, gay rights, and just about any special interest group that makes enough noise. They are trying to deny that this country was founded on Christian principles and they are trying to take God out of every part of our lives. They are trying to turn us into a socialist country. I have read some about life in the Soviet Union and have met a few people from communist countries and from those experiences I believe that we need to move as far from socialism as possible.

I am not trying to convince you to become a republican or to like President Bush. We are both entitled to our opinions but let's just discuss our differences and not get angry about it.
