They have DEALS! You could save .99 on something. Plus there's the excitement of possibly being trampled in an unruly crowd!
I went by one of the local Walmart's here in K'zoo a day or so ago. They're opening a DENTAL CLINIC of all things. Makes me wonder if they'll have an express lane for people with 12 teeth or less.

What else would you need? There's nothing like a good pot of coffee that makes your hair stand up first thing in the morning!

Been up since 0430. Apparently, just READING about the Haribo fiasco in the 'Amazon Review' thread, (https://www.dieseltruckresource.com/...w-t315472.html), is enough to send you running to the terlit!

Today is Friday, November 29th, 'Black Friday'.

1864 - The Sand Creek Massacre occurred in Colorado when a militia led by Colonel John Chivington, killed at least 400 peaceful Cheyenne and Arapaho Indians who had surrendered and had been given permission to camp.

1890 - Navy defeated Army by a score of 24-0 in the first Army-Navy football game. The game was played at West Point, NY.

1929 - The first airplane flight over the South Pole was made by U.S. Navy Lt. Comdr. Richard E. Byrd.

1939 - The USSR broke off diplomatic relations with Finland prior to a Soviet attack.

1961 - The Mercury-Atlas 5 spacecraft was launched by the U.S. with Enos the chimp on board. The craft orbited the earth twice before landing off Puerto Rico.

1963 - A Trans-Canada Airlines DC-8F with 111 passengers and 7 crew members crashed in woods north of Montreal 4 minutes after takeoff from Dorval Airport. All aboard were killed. The crash was the worst in Canada's history.

1963 - U.S. President Johnson named a commission headed by Earl Warren to investigate the assassination of President Kennedy.

1975 - Bill Gates adopted the name Microsoft for the company he and Paul Allen had formed to write the BASIC computer language for the Altair.

1981 - Actress Natalie Wood drowned in a boating accident off Santa Catalina Island, CA, at the age 43.

1987 - A Korean jetliner disappeared off Burma, with 115 people aboard.

1987 - Cuban detainees released 26 hostages they'd been holding for more than a week at the Federal Detention Center in Oakdale, LA.

1988 - The U.S. Supreme Court ruled that the rights of criminal defendants are not violated when police unintentionally fail to preserve potentially vital evidence.

1991 - 17 people were killed in a 164-vehicle wreck during a dust storm near Coalinga, CA, on Interstate 5.

1994 - Fighter jets attacked the capital of Chechnya and its airport only hours after Russian President Boris Yeltsin demanded the breakaway republic end its civil war.

1996 - A U.N. court sentenced Bosnian Serb army soldier Drazen Erdemovic to 10 years in prison for his role in the massacre of 1,200 Muslims. The sentence was the first international war crimes sentence since World War II.

1998 - Swiss voters overwhelmingly rejected legalizing heroin and other narcotics. They have hot chocolate, why would they need drugs?

Today's thought:
The love of family and the admiration of friends is much more important than wealth and privilege.

Good c0ffee this mornin' Mark! Did'ja remember B0b's ph00? He'll be mad if it isn't here when he comes in!

Mornin, buddy. I had not yet, but it's on now. I didn't want it to scald, gotta take care of Bobby really good... he's a nice guy!

Some left over pumpkin pie spice for ya, Bob. There is some Bailey's creamer in the fridge, leaded and unleaded...

Butt is looking good, just slow and steady now. I ran out of my maple smoking chips, the first two hours are all you really need them for anyhow. I'm going to throw some hickory on the last few hours, along with mopping it with our own special sauce. (not with the break room mop...)

WHERE'S MY PH00???????????????? DUH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

...................................................

Oh well, what can you expect from these gun wielding wild men around here? ............................. I need to get a gun safe - - no kids around here, but still need to do it. Of course, one of them will not be in the safe - - NO SIREE.

Great meal yesterday, house full, warm hugs, lots of updates. Very rewarding - - makes you glad you didn't kill them kids when they were brat teen agers. ............................Seriously, ours were great and still are. So proud of who they are and all are successful and happy - - just the one in the time of stress right now, but with God's help and family and friends support, they are going to make it. Marian leave Sunday morning early to head back out there until Christmas, so poor ole Bobby will be all by himself. ..................

OK, PH00 IS DONE AND I AM TAKING MINE AND GETTING OUT OF HERE. CYA.

Bob

Cool! Now I can go to the dentist wearing my sweat pants/PJs and my wife can leave in her curlers.

Last time I was left alone for very long I went feral.
You forget how to talk in complete sentences, stop shaving and forget to put clothes on when the cops come for a welfare check (after the pizza guy reports you).

Howdy all you Happy DTRoininans!
Hope each of you enjoyed a good holiday with your families/friends and are well

Been MIA for several weeks now, getting all the yard work finished up before the cold weather set in.I been a little to busy to get on the puter, and the DTR mobile version wont let me post from my phone..

Left shoulder started aching a tad a about mid-October ( couldnt sleep at night and bringing tears to my eyes when I lifted anything ) so once we got everything done outside, I broke down and went to the Doc.. I seem to have managed to rupture both the bursa 'tween my collar bone and shoulder, as well as the one beneath the lower part of my shoulder blade, and have damaged the cartilage in the joint, leaving "debris" floating around in my shoulder..
Docs solution? " complete rest for at least 2 weeks".....THE BOSS's idea? " I ordered the new flooring for the living room, dining room and kitchen so we might as well do the bedrooms and laundry rooms while we're at it, and don't you think we can get it all done before Thanksgiving? ".......if she weren't cute, there'd be another new hole out back in the pasture....
Well... guess who's idea won?
The new flooring all got installed( by me and my best friend, myself) by last Sunday, Monday and Tuesday new trim through-out the first floor of the house, and 4 rooms painted..Wednesday cleaning up and cooking, and yesterday we had 26 folks here for a great family Thanksgiving dinner.......was wonderful! But I cant lift my arm enough to put a shirt on, so am staying home today..

Sadder note, our Rottweiler Greta has developed a Mast Cell Tumor on her neck, that the docs think probably mastitis-ed from either her bone marrow or liver( based on blood work)... not too much they can do for it, so we're counting the days with her. Hasn't seemed to effect her yet, so until it starts diminishing her quality of life, we are gonna enjoy the time we have left.

hardest part is trying to not to be upset 'cause she senses when I am, she's been one of the best dogs and friends I've ever had. gonna be a hard thing to deal with.

Ok, off to play tug-a-war with a bum shoulder against a 100lb Rottie...
yall enjoy your day, gonna try and enjoy mine..

outtahere..Chris
