Taking the flag down

I usually stay out of the political arena on here for obvious reasons but I thought you should hear this:

Just heard on the news right here in my own state, I'm ashamed to admit, where some employees are against the flag hanging in one government building and are rallying to have it removed from the building. They say it shows support for the war affort and they are not in favor of war.

Can you believe this?

Re:Taking the flag down

If people really have such an extreme distaste for my Flag and what it represents, they can leave my country!

Re:Taking the flag down

If you can come up with an e-mail address for this gov't building, I am sure we could let them know exactly what we think of that !!!

Although, I believe that ALL gov't buildings are required to fly Old Glory ... despite what their employees request.

PISTOL
AND, if they are government employees, they are receiving paychecks from the same organization that they disrespect by removing it's symbol.

~Dave

People just dont seem to understand the price that was paid so they can have an opinion and express it. If our ansectors(sp) hadnt done what they did weather it be war or conflick they would not be able to speak up and voice there opinion. Find something else to pick on! that flag represents the price my people and yours paid for what i cherish, my freedom.. Granted i dont agree with most of the politician and would like to get rid of them but i dont like to get pushed around. And if you are not a citizen and you dont pay taxes you have no right to speak out and if your a diplomate and you do something wrong your imunity has been rovoked!!!! Every one should be flying OLD GLORY right now even if you are protesting the war. You need to support our troops. Im sure there is someplace else they would rather be.

Dan

I work for government, and I know from experience that if the job they fill allows them time to worry about that stuff, they are basically collecting an advanced form of welfare anyway! If they don't appreciate it, they can go! We need their money rerouted to other branches anyway!

Unfortunately I do believe it. It is amazing what some people complain about. It goes without saying.....but I will anyhow. IF YOU DON'T LIKE IT HERE THERE IS THE DOOR AND DON'T LET IT HIT YOU IN THE BUTT ON THE WAY OUT.

Re:Taking the flag down

You have to look at the source. I have always believed liberals and peace activist to be grossly out of touch with reality and very short on common sense. This is just another example of freedom being abused. I see it as spitting on the graves of people, both military and civilian, who have given their lives for the freedoms the ones in question enjoy. You have people now dying for freedom while others march in protest against their actions and want to hide the flag. A very odd way of saying thanks and showing respect to our country.

Re:Taking the flag down

These people live in an alternate reality, they have no idea what is going on around them in the world today. I bet most of the ones protesting have never even entered a voting booth.

I am glad they can voice their opinion, I am sad they are too stupid not to spend their energy trying to make the world a better place, rather than tear down what others gave their lives to preserve.

SaddenedbyallthefoolishrhetoricLa ry

Re:Taking the flag down

I talked to the VP of the company I work for one day about the company emblems being on the floor mats in various locations. The first thing you see when you walk in the buildings were real pretty floor mats with the big company colors and logo on it and what do you do, stop and wipe your feet on it. Just seemed knid of strange to me and wrong.

About a month later, all the logo floor mats were gone and replaced with totally different mats with other than company colors and no logos.

AM I crazy or what? (don't answer that Top)
