Wanna trade? As of right now, I'm about 3 months behind on 2 projects that should have been done by now. And there's no way I'm ever going to catch up at this point, which means I'll be digging trenches in the frost, amongst other things. Not MY choice, but there ain't much I can do about it.

You've probably forgotten about the FIL situation around my house. Today is the last day!!! Sleep around here has been next to impossible. 1000 sq/ft, 3 bedroom, 1 bath house with 3 adults and 1 3yr old.......and the guest of honor makes for quite a scene. 4 scoops is good enough for me today.....I plan on getting my stuff done and RELAXING.....and that probably means a little sleep as well. Sleep......Sleep......oh that just sounds good rolling off my tongue.....I CAN'T WAIT!!!!! Quite sure 6 scoops would hurt me today!!
In between chores right now. Starting to warm up. 'Posed to be in the 90's today....and humid. Yesterday was bad enough....soaked in sweat by 8 am doing yard work. Will be the same today except.....it's 725 right now and I am no where near a sweat. Wooohoooo.

Hey Twitch, up here in the shadow of the Rockies another week is in the record book. For now, the severe storm warnings are ended (as of 10 mins ago) but we are currently being pummeled by wind from a storm that went by from west to east about 3 miles north of us. It is sunny outside right now but my poor DW would have to put rocks in her pockets if she were to go outside right now. Tonight is enchiladas for supper - Mmmmmm. If the wind goes down, we will head out to spend the evening on the deck.
The next few days will have a lot of unsettled weather. On a good note, we haven't had enough heat to go with the humidity to cause tornadic storms. Hail is a real possibility though. There will be living with DW if our garden gets hailed out.
Have a good evening all y'all. If there are shy newbies hiding in the dark corners of the breakroom, come on out, crack a cold one and start swapping lies with the rest of us.
I haven't seem some of our regulars - Bark, Chrisreyn or Shovelhead in a while. Are they shunning us or am I just missing their posts?

Here is the report, Heidi,
Worked my little fanny off, got everything set to seal the pavers, loaded up the sprayer - - and it wouldn't work. Fussed and fumed, tried to fix it - - started to rain about 30 minutes later. Someone was watching out for me - - that sealer is over $200 per gallon - - sure glad the sprayer messed up.
OK, relax for the night - - tomorrow is another day.

Got the old Foreman stuck today. And it's dry out. Except in the tube we tried to use to cross the road while spraying thistle. Got about 2/3 of the way through the mud and standing water and that was it. Corry went for chains, I tried rocking it and turning the wheels a couple times, ended up getting down through the mud and the left wheels grabbing the culvert. Took 4 tries but got it out. And being I have no cooling fan, I had to stop and give it a break that many times so I didn't burn up the motor.
Oh, and this all happened inside a 6 foot culvert pipe. At least there was a nice cool breeze blowing through.

Now why would you want to kill cattails? You've probably planted 'taters in your garden, haven't you? Don't really need to if you got cattails. The roots are pretty much the same thing but they taste better than a conventional 'tater!
