Re:Stereo Upgrade Questions
By the way matt I have never been a fan of JBL others can chime in but I found them inferior to other stuff out there for the same money.

I only spec-ed those out cuz they seemed like the best Crutchfield had to offer with an amp that had speaker level inputs.

Re:Stereo Upgrade Questions
This year we are running (15) 15" JL audio DVC subs with JL amps. All JL XR components, with alpine head units, we'll see what its going to do I guess.

Matt....
What are you finally thinking about getting?
[/quote]Well I was looking real hard at the 6 JBL’s, Profile Amp and stock HU that I posted ealier but now looks like Jamie Attridge has a pretty good idea that may be better.
This Head Unit
Matches my factory interior pretty well, has the old fashion “dial volume” and large numbers for this old fart, a detach face means that I can hide it or take it with me to detour a break-in, part of the reason for wanting the stock HU.
Also he suggested these speakers for the front doors
and then these speakers for the rear doors
and skip putting any in the dash, nix the amp for what I am looking for. He has some good ideas, I am wondering if the above 4 speakers at 22W RMS would sound better than the 6 JBL's at 75W RMS??
What do you think?
