Just holding my own for the time being. Biding my time fighting the infection which is the most miserable part. Always in discomfort, but can't be helped. Having the infection gone will greatly improve the results of the surgery, so I'll suffer now rather than later. I have a follow up next week, I'll know more then. One of my coworkers went through the same thing last year. He doesn't know how I handle it. Just to tough (or dumb) to know any better, I guess.

It's my pot and I'll stir it if I want to. If you're not careful, I'll stir your's as well!
Morn'n folks. Very unusual for me, but I slept in this morning. Now freshly showered and freshly coffeed, so am ready to carp diem. Arrived home late yesterday, very tired and quite dirty, so maybe that is why I slept in for a change.
It's a lot cooler today than yesterday. Had some scattered showers late afternoon and hope for more today. The rain yesterday was just enough to rearrange the fine coating of dust on our vehicles and make them look really dirty. Not going to wash them as more rain may be on the way, but will clean the glass.
It is quite funny at the orphanage because one of the Canadians who works full time there is developing a sort of Animal Farm. Told him to sign in here and he will find all the animals he needs He wants this for food for the kids. One of the pigs is now ready for slaughter and so are some chickens. Many of the chickens are starting to lay eggs daily which are collected and brought to the kitchen. They have just taken delivery of a couple of turkeys and the female is laying eggs daily. Hopefully there will soon be fresh turkey on the kid's menu. The goat herd is growing and also doing a good job in keeping the soccer field trimmed. They have also been given one duck that was a pet, so this duck likes to be picked up and it's head rubbed. More ducks coming soon, for more food. Got the request yesterday to look around for a source of a couple of 6 month old castrated and weaned steer. It will be fattened up for food later. Never a dull moment out there.
Cougar, you seem to be really having a tough time. Hope things turn around for you soon.
Scotty, you appear to be in better cheer lately, so maybe soon you will be "normal".

There are many unique things in this world that have no comparison, so he has to be rated on his own merits. What ever they may be.
Mornin kids. Around zero, but feels colder for some reason. Maybe just me. As soon as I got home last night, Roxie wanted OUT. So we went out for a while and she nailed a bird. Nice to see her getting back into full cat mode again. Amazing what a diet change can do. Maybe I should start eating mice and birds.
