One evening after dinner in Dubai they brought out a little tray with some Anise seeds, rock candy, and something else on it. I popped a couple anise seeds in my mouth to clean and freshen my breath while we are sitting around talking. A guy I was traveling with pops a couple with a piece of rock candy and "hey, this tastes like licorice."
Now I'm thinking as much as he's traveling surely he knows.
NOPE. he eats a bit more tells me to try it, I pass, he eats a bit more and then He scurries off to the restroom. A few minutes later he comes back and says its time to go.

Did you get clobbered by that system on Thursday? The pucker factor was extremely high for my drive home from Calgary on Thursday night and not much better getting back to the city yesterday. The drifts in my yard grew 2ft taller during the day on Thursday. My neighbors had to put down a lot of bedding for their cattle on Thursday evening. They said they had a bunch of cold, wet and unhappy cattle.

Well all y'all, this big blue marble is making another trip around the sun. It is time to put this breakroom out of its misery. I think I have things setup for the morning. There is coffee, perc coffee, Americano coffee and pH00 ready for tomorrow. For breakfast we have rolled oats, steel-cut oats, cinnamon buns and eggs-benedict all ready for the a.m. I am on vacation for the next week so if y'all behave this week I might share some of my home cured and smoked bacon next weekend.
Play safe everyone, keep your stick on the ice and your head up.
See you on the flip side.

Glad you survived the latest weather systems. Sure will be glad when summer gets here.
Parents have anise growing wild in there area. Love to chew on the stems when the plants are young.
My older cousin used to smoke the stuff. He wasn't much of a role model.
Always a "bright side" to everything.
Was talking to Scotty about the Saskatoons. I have never had any but love wild blueberries.
