Sound Deadening
I am doing a restoration in my spare time on a car I have owned since 1982 and want to add some sound deadening material to the floor boards, fire wall and door panels. Watching OverHauling they always seem to always add something before they put the carpet down. This sounds like a good idea to me and I want to get some first hand knowledge on what any of you guys have used and can recommend.
Looking for information on sound deadening effect, easy of installation, cost, the ability of it to stay in place in places like door panels and any other input on the subject.

I will second b-quiet. They used to sell something called brown bread that has been replaced with ultimate or something like that. Have used it as well. I think it compares favorably to dynomat xtreme with a significantly lower cost. Mine has been in for years and has shown no signs of coming loose or falling down.

Thanks guys, I reread my post and I really should stop posting before I have had my coffee. Thankfully I don't have to have the writing graded by my old high school English teacher.
Anyone see any issues with corrosion from moisture getting between the mats and the metal??

Andy,
whenever I have laid down dynamat on metal that could get corroded in time, i always laid down a good coat of epoxy primer and then paint it. I have also used a calking on the body seams to prevent moisture getting into those devious body seams.
