Update: Yesterday I spent quite a bit of time on the phone with lawyers. No one is willing to touch this case because Workers Comp. is involved. Since I don't have any known permanent injuries and only "minimal" pain and suffering I don't have much of a legal leg to stand on. As far as the unlawful termination of employment, there is a contract that covers this and the "zero tolerance" policy comes into play. If I were able to convince a judge that there was no true fighting going on I might have a small chance at gaining something there. The only thing I can do at this time is wait for the court date on the assualt charge and see what happens. I could sue the offender in court, but I don't know what assets there are available that could not be hidden by bankruptcy. Right now the only recource for me is to file charges with the union. It just so happens there is a meeting tonight. All I need to do is write up the complaint with the charges and present it to the members. After that the E-board has thirty days to investigate and determine the proper sanctions or punishment.
Now the good news: Yesterday I had my nose fixed. I don't know what the doctor did, but WOW!! I was only in the OR for about 25 min. and I was back talking to my wife in 1/2 hour. I have only had to take a pain killer once when I got home, have no swelling (yet), no black eyes, and no bleeding. I have been able to breathe through my nose since about 1 hour after getting it re-set. Guess you guys won't get to see me looking like a 'coon Hopefully I will hear from a place about a job tommorrow.

They usually wait for the criminal case decision anyway, so they don't have to work so hard for their money in a lawsuit...

No, no update as of yet. Just went to the doctor and he said everything is OK. Doesn't appear to be any lasting sinus trouble. He said I need to give it "lots and lots" (his terms) of time.
