Probably the reason you couldn't find View in your menu choices was because you are using AOL. AOL seems to do a lot of things differently than Microsoft Internet Explorer.

Best thing to do if you have AOL is get rid of it. 
2nd best thing is to only use it to connect to the internet.
Once connected, you should be able to fire up Internet Explorer and use it to surf.
