Evening Pind, and all others.
I wondered about that also. Noticed his join date was the 13th so maybe he is just a little slow. Guess one of us needs to give him an answer.
I didn't think anybody would catch it.
You gotta read Dr. Sleep but reread The Shining first. It will be worth it. Ask Tallguy. He read it before me.
Do I smell a troll?

I'm undecided on that. He could be serious and just unable to properly articulate a technical question. My first thought was to get rid of the whole thing, but *sometimes* I can be a little too fast to act without thinking of peoples' stupid feelings, so I've left it for now so I don't hafta listen to anyone whine about what a jerk I am.
Morning all.
It is Monday, July 21st.
1733 - John Winthrop was granted the first honorary Doctor of Law Degree given by Harvard College in Cambridge, MA.
1861 - The first major battle of the U.S. Civil War began. It was the Battle of Bull Run at Manassas Junction, VA. The Confederates won the battle.
1925 - The "Monkey Trial" ended in Dayton, TN. John T. Scopes was convicted of violating the state law for teaching Darwin's theory of evolution.
1930 - The Veterans Administration of the United States was established.
1944 - American forces landed on Guam during World War II.
1954 - The Geneva Conference partitioned Vietnam into North Vietnam and South Vietnam.
1961 - Captain Virgil "Gus" Grissom became the second American to rocket into a sub-orbital pattern around the Earth. He was flying on the Liberty Bell 7.
1980 - Draft registration began in the United States for 19 and 20-year-old men.
1997 - The U.S.S. Constitution, which defended the United States during the War of 1812, set sail under its own power for the first time in 116 years.
2004 - White House officials were briefed on the September 11 commission's final report. The 575-page report concluded that hijackers exploited "deep institutional failings within our government." The report was released to the public the next day.
2011 - Space Shuttle Atlantis landed at Kennedy Space Center in Florida. It was the last flight of NASA's space shuttle program.
Today's thought:
Remind yourself regularly that you are better than you think you are. Successful people are not superhuman. Success does not require a super-intellect. Nor is there anything mystical about success. And success isn't based on luck. Successful people are just ordinary folks who have developed belief in themselves and what they do.
Coffee's on.

Something is messed up with the quote/post area. Everytime I try to post about dr sleep, it reverts back to my post last night.
Anyway, when I hit the road I download audio books from the library. Did Dr Sleep awhile back but I'll reload it asap.
Hynyday folks.

You can't do it everyday, but every once in a while, Doritos and Coke are breakfast.

These shorter days are making for colder nights. The heater kicked on this morning.
I like left over cold nachos and hot chocolate for breakfast myself.

Howdy Shorts, cougar and others
Guess part of what I liked about it was you could tell SK has first hand experience dealing with alcohol issues.
Yikes! Not related but did I mention that our dog once stole and ate a five pound block of cheese?

Administrator ........ DTR's puttin fires out and workin on big trucks admin
took a weedeater with several years of varnish in the tank, changed the oil, put 50/50 seafoam and gas in, primed and let sit for several hours, fired right up. lawnmower, same situation, but needs a new float bowl gasket, otherwise running. Honda quad, same situation, same treatment except for the seafoam ratio. straight seafoam into the carb, freed it up nicely. compressed air to clean out the fuel selector and plumbing. Will try firing it up tomorrow.
yesterday, trip to the cabin northeast of here. wow, lots of work to be done there. oh well, did assessment, now time to make a plan.
Friday, upper ball joints on the 93. still need to throw some u joints at the rear shaft, and clearance the exhaust away from the box cross member. also added some airbags. what a difference in ride and control.
tomorrow, business as usual. at least it's raining...
have fun folks

seafoam is the stuff for sure. been using it for a lot of years, and it hasn't let me down yet. there are some things that are beyond a simple save, but sometimes...
take 444e / jokestroke engines with hard cold start issues for instance. completely rebuild the GPRS system, do compression tests, everything is good, no cold starts without plugging in. drain oil from hpo res. add 50/50 seafoam and clean engine oil. crank for about 5 to 10 seconds, let it sit overnight. repeat the next day, let it sit overnight. fire it up, let it run for a while, change the oil.
guaranteed it will start easier. the seafoam cleans the oil sludge out of the injector galleries, allowing the hpo system to work properly. we did this on several trucks, just trying it out, and it worked. I am not alone on this test, another guy in Minnesota was doing it at the same time.
otherwise, I'm notsowise, but wise enough to sound foolish when needed. like a mechanically inclined court jester.
have a great day

It DOES work pretty well. I think. I mix it with Stabil, so I don't know which one works the best. I had it in my 2 generators, put it in 2 years ago, shut off the gas and ran them dry. After 2 years of sitting, (I KNOW, I should start them once a month!), they both started up like I had run them the day before.
Morning all.
It is Tuesday, July 22nd.
1587 - A second English colony was established on Roanoke Island off North Carolina. The colony vanished under mysterious circumstances. Note: Nothing mysterious about it actually. The Indians had their own immigration laws in effect at the time!
1796 - Cleveland was founded by General Moses Cleaveland.
1798 - The USS Constitution was underway and out to sea for the first time since being launched on October 21, 1797.
1933 - Wiley Post ended his around-the-world flight. He had traveled 15,596 miles in 7 days, 18 hours and 45 minutes.
1943 - American forces led by General George S. Patton captured Palermo, Sicily.
1941 - Plans for the Pentagon were presented to the House Subcommittee on Appropriations.
1955 - U.S. Vice-President Richard M. Nixon chaired a cabinet meeting in Washington, DC. It was the first time that a Vice-President had carried out the task.
1975 - Confederate General Robert E. Lee had his U.S. citizenship restored by the U.S. Congress.
1987 - The U.S. began its policy of escorting re-flagged Kuwaiti tankers up and down the Persian Gulf to protect them from possible attack by Iran.
1998 - Iran tested medium-range missile, capable of reaching Israel or Saudi Arabia.
2003 - In northern Iraq, Saddam Hussein's sons Odai and Qusai died after a gunfight with U.S. forces.
2004 - The September 11 commission's final report was released. The 575-page report concluded that hijackers exploited "deep institutional failings within our government." The report was released to White House officials the day before.
2011 - Space Shuttle Atlantis landed successfully at Kennedy Space Center after completing STS-135. It was the final flight of NASA's space shuttle program.
Today's thought:
Better to lose count while naming your blessings than to lose your blessings to counting your troubles.
Second thought:
Coffee's on.
I'm gone.

fresh blueberry muffins for ya Topper! way to keep the troops high and tight...uh, wait.......forgot who is in this room. nevermind.
up before da sun, trying to finish stuff on a gorgeous day. May the same sun shine on you guys/Shorts. Rick, Cooperstown called (Baseball Hall of Fame), they want their spheres back......
Seafoam works excellent. fire up marine motors that got pickled (water) then sat around for two years. super for those old evinrudes that always seem to show up from old fishermen...lol Seafoam also works great for taking rust from metal fittings/connectors. faster, cleaner than WD40.
watching morning tv with some kids band on......remember when concerts were in the dark and bic lighters used for approval? now the crowd is all arms extended for the cell phone cameras......
off to haul stuff for yardsale and finish woodwork- African safari scene being chiseled out for friend's foot rest. other friend told me to 'go wild'....lol

Sausage Aficionado (In training)
Good afternoon all y'all, it is a beautiful day on the dry side of the Canadian Rockies. The sun is shining with nary a cloud in the sky, it is 75 degrees F and we have a gentle breeze from the west. The only thing that could make it better would be for me not to be at work. Oh well, bills have to be paid and I start 2 weeks of holidays this weekend.
Y'all do realize that we scare the beejesus out of newcomers when we resurrect the Shrew and Concrete Bedliner threads don't you????
Only Mom, Lary and Chaikwa around here today, that is pretty quiet. It was good to see some folks like Madhat and Pind around here earlier in the week who haven't been here in a while. We either need better food, a cleaner washroom or a renovation project to get some people back into the breakroom.
Well folks, even newbies, stop in say hello, post something, anything (we have shown you that it doesn't need to be intellectual) and have a good Tuesday.
Time to get back to work. Play safe and don't sit on beehives!

Hi Sean......funny you should mention bees......I got stung today by a wasp carrying stuff from the garage to the storage building.....I considered doing one of Barks world famous dance steps but instead.. waited until after I hunted him and his family down and squashed their wittle heads
Geesh I was no where near the nest I guess he just wasn't happy because we crossed paths. Oh well hope you are enjoying your day I am back to work for a bit
