Site faster?

Guys, can you tell if the site is faster or not? It seems much faster for me for about the last 10 minutes. I did something to it, but I don't know what I did! whatever it was, it seems to have sped up. I know this sounds crazy..... be honest now, if it aint fast, tell me. Tnx.

Jack

I'm on a ten kilobyte modem here but my snoozes do seem to be shorter during screen openings if that helps.

(son, hook those last two wires back up you just cut, yeah, that's it)

Did you find those articles to put in the FAQ section?

Re:Site faster?

The main thing I'm seeing is a much faster response from the board Index. What I mean is the main forum page. When you click on the home button, that's what takes you to the forum index. It usually takes 2-4 seconds for it to respond because the huge amount of database queries it takes to bring up all that info, but for the past 20-30 minutes, it's been coming up MUCH faster. Usually 1/2 second to 1 second. I just wish I could figure out what I did so I can keep it that way.

Re:Site faster?

This is exactly why I need to start documenting all of my code changes.

Re:Site faster?

Call upstairs for the instant replay ;D I hate when I fix something and don't have a clue how I did it ??? But I do fight the urge to break it again just to start over!

Re:Site faster?

Yikes. I don't think I want to do that. Actually, it was working really well before. The load times were normal, but this is much better. ;D

Re:Site faster?

If the site gets any faster, I'm afraid we'll travel back in time past the speed of light and stuff.

Hey Jack, You'll have to start watching what your fingers are typing ;D that way you wont have to think : about what they did for you . Remember, one (1) random thing at a time always helps figgure out what works and what the world just happend 'cause now it don't ??? .

edit.
oops... forgot, yea it does seem faster, good job Jack.
