showing off for my father **56kbeware**
First off i would like to have a moment of silence for the most important man in my life. rest in peace dad. Michael sr.
My father worked for the city of albuquerque for 25 years and retired going on to a part time job and musician at night. He raised me with "good ole" values and made sure i was gonna do something with my life.
My father took less so i could have more when he passed away. By that i mean his pension and houses. He upgraded roofs and maintainence on his rentals knowing he wasnt gonna outlive the properties incomes and turnarounds. He took a lesser pension so that i wold get it if he ever passed away.
My father left me on my feet and not living paycheck to paycheck or strugling to eat. He went out knowing his son was married , and in the military and taken care of.
Think about this and relize you never know when your time is up so you should maintain a life insurance.
he left me vehichle wise:
93 ctd 5speed all stock
king of the hill car hauler
69 road runner drag car
him after retirement from the city of albuquerque
this is less of me showing off and more of me saying get ready!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! he was 57 years old and died of a major heart attack. watch what you eat. thanks for looking and hope you like the ctd.

I don't have much, but would give it all up in a half-heartbeat to have the guidance/relationship with my father that you had with yours. I'm sure he will be missed and am sorry for your loss.

Apocolypsesrt, sorry for your loss. I too lost my Pap when he was only 57 from a massive m.i. I still dream about him 10 years later. Sounds like your father was a great man. It's tough, but think of the wonderful relationship you had with your father and that you are the man you are in a large part because of him. I still have my Mom and help her out as best I can. I would do it anyway, but it makes me feel good knowing I am honoring my father also. My condolences.

My heartfilled condolences go out to you and your family. It's people like your father that make this world worth living in, always putting others ahead of themselfs.
btw, NICE RoadRunner. I could deffinetly see a commerative drag car setup in his name.

From a fellow service member (U.S. Coast Guard) to another, I am very sorry for your loss. You now have a very nice 1st gen CTD (and beautiful Road Runner) to remember him by. I am pretty sure you will always remember him whenever you get behind the wheel of those vehicles.
Thank you for your service

My condolences and prayers are with you. I lost my Dad on Nov. 14th of 2004 also to a massive heart attack. We drag raced together and attended the Buick Nationals as well as many other races together for years. You never really get over loosing them it just gets easier as times goes by. He died in the middle of our deer season so I usually take that day off every year just to sit in the woods and reflect. Doesn't matter whether I see a deer or not that day.
