shop built field sprayer
i had an old converted 68 jeep pickup sprayer that i bought years ago and just got tired of getting the old gas engine running then to have it die right in the middle of a spray job . so i bought the trailer frame with the 7.50x20 rubber under it then transfered my used tank, foamer and pump over to the trailer frame then i built new wet booms. it sprays 40 foot and folds up nice for storage. worked on and off most of spring on it. works great.

thanks , i put alot of thought into the gull wing booms . i used tie rod ends for the hinges. i set up the back to install a cylinder that will raise the booms for taller crops. i built a remote switch box to ride on the tractor. as soon as i find some good used electric remotes to run the cylinders i will take the manual ones off. i looked at some photos of a hardy built sprayer and went from there. i will have to get a shot of it unfolded on here .

Looks real good!
How big is your product tank? I'm thinking you may want a little bigger tire on there but other than that looks like a nice little rig.
Were you going for a Rogator colour scheme?

Very nice job. We built a bulk nitrogen sprayer 3 or 4 years ago to use on the farm. 1000 gallon stainless tank with 80ft booms on it. We kind of didn't like the idea of of running nitrogen through our expensive Rogator 854. Those things aren't cheap. the only down side to the bulk nitrogen is the wings are one piece. I believe the back mount is 15ft and both booms are 32.5ft. I'm kind of at NC State right now so I'm a good 2 hours away from the thing to give exact measurements .

I always said farmers are the best inventors, take nothing, have an idea and make it something useful. That what made this country great imo.
Great to see its a family event also, even Grandma enjoying herself.
Great job on the sprayer! Too cool to see a antique machinery back in action.
