I work( ) for the fed govt 8 hours a day. but I drive a bus for the county from my house to the govt place and home later after work. kinda like a 40' 47 passenger vanpool. drive the bus, park it, go to work at the shipyard, get the bus, and drive home.

sweet deal. bring home over $1000 a month to drive myself to work and back with someone else's fuel bill. all travel trailer and bombing money. Give my govt check to the misses for bills and such.

I thought about getting a second job so that I could afford to feed the kids AND do all the fun things that I love to do. In the end I decided that the kids really didn't need food all that bad.

Myself and some other guys in the shop here got jobs at WallyWorld a couple months ago....now before the laughter let me explain. We all work in the TLE (Tire&Lube Express). I started at $9.80 per hour to change oil, tires, & batteries part-time. Now after 90 days I'm up to $10.20....and a $1.00 extra per hour on Sunday's. They provide uniforms too. It's very laid back, the management likes us military folks because we actually work, and they're VERY flexible with the scheduling.
On a side note, very few CTD's come through for lube. Unfortunately the ones that do get Fram filters. I try to educate the customers about that, and I ALWAYS tell 'em about DTR....out of the dozen or so CTD owners I've talked to over the past five months, none of them knew of DTR.
