Saw my CTD flash before my eyes....
As it rolled out of my driveway across my gravel road through the board fenced down the hill across the field ramped off of a 8 ft cliff and landed inches from the east for river! All due to my parking brake not engaging all of the way :'( suprisingly there was only minor damageas it put 2 dents one on each side of the back of the cab where when it landed on the rear bumper after falling fromthe 8ft embankment it jammed the bed into the cab the rear bumper is slightly bent downward everything else is fine. It runs and drives good still jsut a few bangs it it :'( before it was flawless and now i know why upon inspecting the driver side dent inthe back of the cab i noticed that the driver side had been hit there before and it was full of bondo!! So the thing had new paint on it i wondered how a black 1997 could have flawless...literally flawless paint after 5 years! oh well Sh** happens life goes on i am jsut thankful it didnt go in the river! ANd only sustained minor damage [undecided]

Wow, that could have been a disaster . Glad it was minor and didn't hurt anybody.
BTW have a friend I used to race with down your way. Haven't seen him for several years. Steve Hatfield.......Ring a bell?

You need to go here and fill out a complaint form.
I've been seeing a few threads and comments lately about the emergency brakes on the RAMs releasing by themselves.

Might be the start of a recall action. ???

http://www.nhtsa.gov/cars/problems/ivoq/default.htm

Man I'm sorry. That really sucks. At least no one was hurt and the truck is in ok shape. I don't know how a black truck could have flawless paint unless it was completely repainted before. My dad's truck is black and unless you just waxed it, you can see every single solitary scratch, ding, and what not on that. However, black is the prettiest color in the world clean and freshly waxed.

My 96 rolled off once. I thought ( I knew ) for sure that I had put the brake on. Now I think I was right and not loseing it. At least mine didn't get hurt just a small ding in rear bumper. It hit a power pole after rolling out a driveway and accross the street.
Did yours roll off as soon as you got out or did it wait a few minutes? ??? I stood beside mine for about 10 min. and went inside, then after about 20 min I came out and thought it was stolen. > But I had the keys in my pocket and the doors were locked.

Maybe I'm not as crazy after all.

: Eddie : 8)
