Go Buick.
I have/had the Saturn SC1. Just turned the big 200k and it siezed from taking off from the stop sign. No idiot light came on. It was about 1.5 qts low. Quality is cheap but got me a VERY reliable 32mpg mixed.
Things I did like were the 5 spd (shifted nice and smooth), the seats were comfy (I have to be picky about my seats. I notice quite a few give me lower back pain), light (so I can push it around the yard to get it out of the way.).
The bad was it drank oil. I put in a quart every week. I missed one week and that was when it died. The body panels save the trunk lid, hood and roof are all plastic. The seats reclined nice but I like sitting straight up as it helps my back. The roof was low and the interior was cheap. The fuse box panel was held on by velcro. That didnt last very long.
BTW, I only put 2000 miles on it when it happened.
