We had thought of some of these things but not all of them.
Great list ,care package will be on the way with enough so he can share with the others in his squad.

I just returned from my 2nd tour in Iraq......
The things we wanted the most over there was.....
Seasonings.....we could get beef, steaks, burgers but no seasonings other than salt and pepper.
Anything spicy was great, jalepeno sunflower seeds, PISTACHIOS, etc. It was flavorful and a big hit.
Anything microwaveable........like ramen noodles, popcorn, etc.
One thing that comes to mind is these stick up lights......Soemone sent us some battery powered (AA) lights that you tapped and they came on.....they worked awesome and went everywhere we went.....especially on the inside of portajohns........
White socks, bubble gum, powered gatorade or other sports drinks......
As mentioned before NO PORNOGRAPHY OR ALCOHOL.........

Spicy is good. So is anything you can chew on-- it keeps the spit flowing (which is oddly very important). Gum, jerky, seeds-- all are great, and the spicier the better.

my favorite thing I got in a care package was those little single serving nestea things, or the lemonade ones, they are tiny packs you just dump into a water bottle.
also I got a few letters from some random kids at a school in michigan. I think that was my best memory from out there. I definately wrote them back and even had a flag flown in an F-15 over Iraq for them. it came with a nice certificate. they now have it framed and the flag hanging up in the classroom

Great list!
Do remember that alchol and porno are forbidden. Lots would like to have either but it will get soldiers in a lot of trouble and contractors sent home.
