Heidi, from what out daily reports at the plant I'm working at say, most of the megawatts we are making are being put on the grid and sold out east.

Actually, (and don't tell Jeff), but they contacted me for a reference. I directed them to this breakroom thread. I think it will help him out, don't you? They DID ask about how extensive his duck licking problem was and I told them it wasn't a problem at all. He does it with ease and should be able to transfer that ability over to other areas quite seamlessly!
I'm offta bed. See y'all in the AM.

Workin, workin here. Got one of my stored generators running this evening. The other one had a cracked fuel line, so I gotta replace that before I move on.
Drank some beer. Should not have, but I did anyway.

Murphy showed up on location today... Drilled out of formation (bad) into shale which is on top and on bottom of where we are drilling. Problem is, the geologist can't figure out if we are above or below. The company man in all his intelligence is not patient enough to let us go in one direction (up or down) so we can find our way back into the formation. Go for a while up.... then go for a while down... still in shale... go back up again...darn geologists don't know nothing,we need to hurry up, go back down again...still in shale, freakin directional drillers...this is takin to long, go back up, better go yell at the rig hands...still in shale...back down again... STILL IN SHALE!!!
If I Iaugh anymore i'm gonna need appendix surgury. I think I may have just figured out the best ab workout ever. probably gonna loose 10 lbs tonght

Just... WOW!
Morning.
Wednesday.
August 11th.
On this day in 1860 - The first successful silver mill in America began operations. The mill was in Virginia City, NV.
1909 - The American ship Arapahoe became the first to ever use the SOS distress signal off the coast of Cape Hatteras, NC.
1934 - Alcatraz, in San Francisco Bay, received federal prisoners for the first time.
1941 - The Atlantic Charter was signed by U.S. President Franklin Roosevelt and British Prime Minister Winston Churchill.
1942 - During World War II, Pierre Laval publicly announced "the hour of liberation for France is the hour when Germany wins the war."
1945 - The Allies informed Japan that they would determine Emperor Hirohito's future status after Japan's surrender.
1954 - Seven years of fighting came to an end in Indochina. A formal peace was in place for the French and the Communist Vietminh.
1965 - Riots and looting took place in the Watts section of Los Angeles, CA. During the week that followed 34 people were killed. In addition, over 1,000 were injured, 3,000 were arrested and over $40 million in damage was done.
1975 - The U.S. vetoed the proposed admission of North and South Vietnam to the United Nations. The Security Counsel had already refused to consider South Korea's application.
1984 - U.S. President Ronald Reagan was preparing for his weekly radio broadcast when, during testing of the microphone, the President said of the Soviet Union, "My fellow Americans, I am pleased to tell you that I just signed legislation that would outlaw Russia forever. We begin bombing in five minutes."
1990 - Egyptian and Moroccan troops joined U.S. forces in Saudia Arabia to help protect from a possible Iraqi attack.
1994 - A U.S. federal jury awarded $286.8 million to about 10,000 commercial fishermen for losses as a result of the 1989 Exxon Valdez oil spill.
1995 - All U.S. nuclear tests were banned by President Clinton.
1998 - British Petroleum became No. 3 among oil companies with the $49 billion purchase of Amoco. It was the largest foreign takeover of a U.S. company.
2003 - In Kabul, NATO took command of the 5,000-strong peacekeeping force in Afghanistan.
THOUGHT FOR THE DAY:
If money doesn't grow on trees then why do banks have branches?

This coming from our resident camel rider. Scott, I think she's jealous.
Nice summation Scott.
Another quick fly by, already late. Daughter is in the hospital, infection secondary to a spider bite, affecting the lymph nodes under her arm. IV antibiotics with a side of lance and debreed. Not pleasant....... She should get out this afternoon or tomorrow morning. Later folks.
