Ok, that was amusing.

What will they think of next, a bolt action 30mm?

Next they'll chamber it in a pistol.

That thing looks dangerous. Not sure what you'd shoot with it, maybe charging log trucks.

the last guy to shoot is the only one who should be allowed to shoot that thing. i'm sure that is a rather expensive piece of shootin' iron, i wonder who owns it that would allow all those morons to "handle" it like that? i have to say that i would give it a try, i would hope that i would look more like that last guy... im 6'2" 225 lbs. if anyone owns one of these and would like for me to test fire it, just let me know. as long as you don't bill me for the ammo.

Sheesh, Ive fired a few round of a 30.06 hand gun, and that about gave me multiple head wounds. My 10 gauges browning is enough after a day of hunting also.

I cant even imagine a 25mm. Granted, Im sure its like a Barret .50, its not to be fired from the hip!

Is this the video of the Arab guys trying to fire the mega-caliber rifles?

Basically they're intended for guys on safari's that have one shot to drop that raging bull elephant or cape buffalo before they get crushed. I don't think holding onto it was really ever a design feature.
I saw the link to the suppliers that made the things (might even have been on here), but I can't recall it now.

On a tangent, ever see this video of the magnet gun? I could play with this thing for hours I bet ya!

I didn't see the video, link was removed.

The recoil is different with the large stuff.

Here's how I can explain it...I think.

A 270/30.06 recoil is like a 120 pound bony guy punching you in the shoulder as hard as he can. It doesn't really knock you back but hurts some.

The big stuff, 50 cal and up is like a 350 pound guy punching your shoulder at half speed/power. It does push you back and you know that your been punched but doesn't leave that lingering hurt like you got from the little guy.

It's best to relax and let the big guy hit, tensing up won't work.

Make sense?

I'm thinking that 750 grains at 2,500 fps is more like 350 pound guy punching you at three times the speed and with five times the power.

Less than 100 yrds. I will take a 1 oz at 1300 fps
Greater than 100 yrds, 150 gr at 2800 fps..
I dont think I need a 800 gr at 3000 fps.

LOL, I've seen this before. At 6'3" and 220 I doubt I'd go near it.
