Restoring Old Firearms

I have an old Stevens .22/.410 over/under that was my very first gun as a child. It is in poor shape, needing new stocks, new firing pins and new bluing. Does anyone know of an online source or a source in central Texas that could either send me the parts needed to restore this gun or, better yet, do it for me?

It's not worth much, but I'd like to give it to one of my boys someday.

Numrich Arms, if they don't have it, it probably doesn't exist. My dad gets stuff from them all the time.

As far as gun parts it's pretty hard to beat Brownells.com. E Gun Parts is pretty good too.

Another couple sites you might put on your list is natchezss.com and midwayusa.com
I dont htink either one has anything in particular over the other two mentioned, but they are an alternative and you might save a dollar or so...

gun restoration

Hoss,

You might give Briley Manufacturing a call. They are located in Houston on Lumpkin Rd. I have seen work they have done on some shotguns and it was good. Sorry I dont have the number with me at the moment but it shouldnt be hard to find. You may also ask for the gunsmith at Sportsmans Finest
( cant remember his name) in Bee Caves. If he cant help you he might be able to steer you in the right direction.

That's a great site. I think they carry every single part on this gun. That's a good start.

Every other one mentioned is a good one too, but Brownells, Midway, etc... don't have the used part selection Numrich has.

I have a C&R lic. and I have gotten some very obscure/obsolete parts from Numrich. They are always where I look 1st for those "hard to find" parts.

I haven't looked at the others yet but I intend to. I clicked on Numrich and they appeared to have every part on the gun, so I just never got any further. They also had schematics with part numbers, which I ordered. Hopefully after I get that I can figure out which parts I need to replace.
