The genie then turns the Colorado'n and asks, "what is your one wish, master"? The Colorado'n thought for a moment and then asked the genie, "is that 20 foot high continous cement wall still surrounding all of the great State Texas"? "Why yes", replied the genie. "Well then", the Colorado'n repiled, FILL IT WITH WATER!!!

Go Bush!!! (even if you are from Tejas!)
This one is too funny, I guess northern people think alike.

I know this thread everyone is joking around, but I have noticed that some people who have never even MET a person from Texas talk bad about it, why is that? It seems that most of the north has something against the state, and as far as I can tell, for no good reason.

Envy. That and the fact that we Texans take a lot of pride in our state and in being Texans in general. Them folks "up yonder" can't understand that.

Kind of like a phrase I learned down in Aggieland...."From the outside looking in you can't understand it. From the inside looking out you can't explain it."

I never understood that saying. The ratio of THOSE people to regular ole' Adam and Eve type folks is probably lower in Texas than in most other states in the nation. That phrase never did make sense to me....

Now, now...fellers, some of ya'll boys kin dish it out, but can't seem to take it! Ain't a soul on this site that can legally "cast a stone". And as far as I am concerned, I'll stand shoulder to shoulder with any Texan OR Californian (regardless of sexual preference, nationality, religous belief, race or lack of humor) to defend the USA!.... Remember buckaroos.....if yer gonna boast, yer gonna toast!!!

Hoss I agree with you, 100% but can lend a little info on that, there was a problem that Texas cleared up totally. In the late 70's there were frequent cars on the side of 20 in the eastern part of the state the would sit on the side of the road and at night give two blinks of the tail lights for a recoginition of their intentions. There was also a problem in the rest areas at Lonestar. Texas cleared it up after a couple of years and you never see it again. But this was the reason. Past tense. Yes, incomparison, Adam and Eve prevail. Texans did not like it, they fixed it pronto. Now if you could give some lessons to the states where they moved....

I've been toasted since the day I joined up on this site. That's nothing new to me.

I met a guy from Texas...worked w/ him for a while. Great person. If most Texans are like him I'd consider living there.
