RedMax, Echo, Stihl.... Which one?
I know many of you own, sell, or have used backpack leaf blowers. I am trying to decide whether RedMax, Stihl, or Echo would provide me with the best blower for the money, and which one will last the longest in a moderate use situation. Anything to watch out for, features, or anything else that might help me in my decision would be appreciated.

We use Stihls at work and have for years, never really a problem. We use them for very many applications, sometimes a lot of dusty enviornments. Seem to hold up real well...
P.S. were you driving down 125 today with a 4-wheeler in your bed by any chance?

Dont know of Redmax but we have some shindawa, sthil blowers and weedwackers and the Sthil is falling apart and breaks lots of little stuf. The shin is OLD and been thru the mill and still goes good. Just our experiances with them.

echo and stihl are both good choices, just make sure you use a good quality oil, some people dont think because the engines are small they arent important, but because they are so small they usually generate more heat, so a good quality oil is important.

Cut quite a lot of grass and won't buy anything but Echo. I have two trimmers and two blowers. Take out the spark arester in the muffler when you get it and it will run until the day you die. My oldest one still starts like the day I got it 12 years ago.

Huskvarna (sp) I have a Stihl weedeater and you could not run fast enough to give me another Stihl product. All the guys I work with say "3 pulls it fires right up" B.S. some of them say they have to pull the spark plug to keep it from starting as they walk by it! Mine is great once you get it started but trying to get it started

Echo weed eaters are awesome. I hove no expierience with the leaf blowers but after seeing the build quality of the weed eater I hope this would reflect the rest of thier products.
