If you are that bored, when they're done with the "personal touch", look back with big doe eyes and ask them if they are going to call in the AM.
U-haul will rent large moving blankets. Wrap them up well and haul them flat on a trailer.
What good is Coffee without chemicals?! I can't see straight with out the eye squinting anymore.

Those blankets are quite handy to have around. I have a couple myself.

Better not be fishing that Icetide! At least not without a Bamboo rod and standing in the middle of the Spey or Dee river in Scotland somewhere with a Salmon on the end of it. Speaking of which, that bamboo rod you had would make a nice little boat-rod to troll some streamers in that little rowboat, just like the masters use to do. You can fly fish without worrying about the cast... you been practicing?
Ok, nightshift here, think I'm finally caught up now that I found the breakroom... if this is the coffee that's getting everybody's eye twitching, you guys have a week pallett. Gonna start the good stuff, gonna be a long night.

Evenin' All!
Another beautiful day in the far North. Sun is shining, 65* and I slept right through it.
3 more nights then 3 weeks vacation! Goin' to see the inlaws in Palmer then spend some time fixin up the truck and house in preparation for the impending freeze. Maybe I'll even trip over a bullwinkle in my travels and fill my freezer. That would be nice.

Good evening. Another monday, not too bad today. Mom made a really good roast for dinner. Grandpa made some good romanian food that involved lots of onions and smoked bacon. So my mom, grandpa, the gf, and I had a good dinner tonight. We each had some beer except the GF, she had wine. Bought a BIG slab of pork ribs today at the meat market. I made up a memphis style rub for them when I got home. They are sitting covered in the rub and wrapped up in the fridge right now. Gonna bbq them after work tomorrow for dinner. Well, i'm off to bed.

Evening. Just got home. Havin some TV dinners. Thats what my life is going to be like.
Today I had 3 classes. First was a 100 level History Course that I need for my major, since I just switched. Luckily it was with my favorite professor to date, my U.S. Mil His professor. Should be good. Next is a American Lit class, post 1860. Lots of reading. Last today was Applied Ethics, this one is going to get me. Already frustrated, because the philosophical questions on a topic never seem to end.
Got some reading to do. Let the sleepless nights begin.

jbjarko: I cant even spell philosophical (I had to cut and paste it). My brain would ooze out my ears if I tried going to school again. It is hard work.
Redleg: I have heard of people still fishing with bamboo rods. Is there a reason or is it just nostalgia (or cheap)?
Blue3quarter: “BIG slab of pork ribs---Gonna bbq them” Gawd that sounds good.
Alwaysworking: Those gates look like they could stop a Rhino. How much do you figure just one weighs?
Justwannabeme: Attica!!! That was hard core. In 1975, when I was stationed at Letterman I worked the civilian nursing pool and did some part time med-tech work at San Quentin passing meds. The bad guys were always locked down when I was around them but I still didn’t like it.
Attica is far worse. They were still using footage of the 71 riot when I was training in 82.
madhat must still be getting his land legs back. He's been pretty quite lately.

Advice from the inside.
If you're 5'8" and 180# and falling down drunk don't take a swing at the mild mannered, good humored, 6'2", 290# C.O. who get's to be your babysitter for the next 12 hours. Also if you are lucky enough that he gives you a second chance, DON'T PUSH IT!
I've been really wasted before but I've never been that stupid......
Rant finnished.
I'll brew a pot of the extra strong for the night shift.

Not cheap. Just another way of doing things. Some say the only way, whether nostalgia or for the rod performance. Back before Rapala's and spoons they just tied big streamer flies for the big fish and drifted them behind the boat. But like anything they made by hand back then, the flys were works of art and so were the rods. I tie the classic flies, but haven't been able to get around to taking a bamboo rod class yet. I do build graphite rods though.
