Rear axle blew up in the S-15 (pics)

I bought a old S-15 for $100 to use when my truck is down. Well the rear axle has been making some noise the past week and it finally locked up the other day. The pinion bearing went out and the pinion gear was bound up with the ring gear, So I cut the ring gear out and removed the drive shaft. It run pretty good with just the front axle pulling it around

couple fresh bearings, little JB weld, she'll be like new

sorry for yuor troubles, though. It'll prolly run as long as you want it to on the front axle

OMG I can just imagine the smell....ughhh. Did I mention burnt gear oil reeks REAL bad?

Can we say owie?? Yeah looks like it was dry as a bone. I agree about the jb weld and don't forget the duct tape
