I liked listening to the space shuttle launch .... those things reach "ludicrous speed" in nothing flat !! I think the video stops while it is still accelerating to over 5,300 mph. That'll get you to the Walmart before closing time !!!

nope, they will not take off.. no lift untill you actually move somewhere, the conveyor steadily rolls backwards and the same speeds the wheels move forward...

 

You really need to re-read the question in the original post for that arguement ... regarding the wheels turning and such .

What lift is needed with a rocket? Since when is take off speed tied to the wheels? The propeller is pushing against the air, and is not tied to the wheels or conveyor.

 

lets not do this again.. gravity, rolling resistance, not moving...
